The Lyrics

A Magyar is an ethnic group of Transylvania of which Count Dracula claimed decendancy. A kukri is a big, curved knife.
There was a certain man
In Romania long ago
He was dead and but alive, in his eyes a flaming glow
Peasants crossed themselves,
All along the Borgo Pass
And they warned all strangers 'The dead, they travel fast'
He would sleep all day within his coffin,
Waiting for the velvet night,
Sun-set came, he'd rise and then set off in,
Search of necks to bite..

Dra-Dra-Dracu-lah
Transylvanian Magyar
He'd drink your blood and still he'd want more
Dra-Dra-Dracu-lah
Fear and loathing near and far
Garlic strung up on everyone's door

He terrorised the land,
The peasants would all quake,
At the Children of the Night
And the music that they make,
His cape was long and black,
His teeth were sharp and white,
And he'd bare his fangs as a victim he would bite,
Then one day he sailed away to England,
With his boxes full of dirt
He knew that when he arrived at Carfax
Oh! How the blood would spurt!.

Dra-Dra-Dracu-lah,
Transylvanian Magyar,
He'd drink your blood and leave you for dead,
Dra-Dra-Dracu-lah,
Fear and loathing near and far,
You'd be just like him once he had fed.

(spoken)
But when his drinkin' and lusting
and his hunger for blood
Became known to Van Helsing
The demands to do something about this 'Nosferatu'
Became Louder and louder...

Hey!
Hey!
Hey!..

This monster has to die,
Van Helsing then declared,
And with Seward, Quincy and Harker he prepared,
They knew the Vampire King,
Would use hypnotic charms,
When they burst in they found Mina in his arms,
With a curse he leapt out of the window,
And into the night he fled,
But the four men knew it won't be over,
Until he was dead.

Dra-Dra-Dracu-lah,
Transylvanian Magyar,
He had to get home quick as he could
Dra-Dra-Dracu-lah,
Fear and loathing near and far
Hotly pursued by the powers of good.

Dra-Dra-Dracu-lah
Transylvanian Magyar,
They dragged his coffin off of the cart
Dra-Dra-Dracu-lah
Home was near and yet so far
They plunged a kukri* into his heart.

(spoken)
Ohhh, those slayers....
