The Lyrics

I've been feeling oh so bad. I asked my family Neurologist Just what I had I said doctor, Mr. MD Can you tell me what's ailing me?
(Chorus)
Knock, knock, knockin' on the "Debate Blues"
Don't believe what you're seeing on the evening news!

(Verse 1)
Someone take this "Malaise" off of me!
One bad "Debate" mired in "Infamy!"
I can't turn this around anymore.
The "Media" can't protect me that's for sure.
Feels like I'm knockin' on "Dementia's Door"

(Repeat Chorus)

(Verse 2)
My mind is "Blank"
It's getting hard to "Speak".
Where's my "Teleprompter" and "Que Cards"
I'm being branded as a "Senile Geek!".

(Repeat Chorus)

(Verse 3)
My own "Party" has turned on me.
But I'm not "Going Anywhere!"
"Jill and Hunter" are backing me.
I got "Delegates" and the "Codes for the Nuclear Football"
Hell, I'm still the "Nominee!"
So "Sit Down and Shut Up!"
"They" can't "Stop Me!"
Feels like I've entered "Dementia's Door!".

(Repeat Chorus)

Are you sure you used the Dylan version? The chorus in the Dylan version has one line repeated four times. I'm not sure what to do with the second line of your chorus. I also don't know what to do with the second line of your verse 1. Or the entire verse 3. I didn't record a score, and there are 23 people who disagree with me. I don't know what score I would give it, but I wouldn't be able to justify giving "Matches Pace of Original Song" a 5.

You get 5's just for the title.

Thanks for your comments Glenn Walker and CML. I understand there has been a lot of nonsense going on this site; namely from G&GBFan, Captain Obvious and Phil Ossifer so I do welcome the positive feedback from you guys. Thanks again.

Of course, as the old joke goes, just about EVERYONE sings Bob Dylan's songs better than Bob Dylan himself does.

I can disagree with the politics and still be a neutral and sane observer unlike the rest of the remaining denizens of this site. 545, because I question some of the pacing.

I enjoyed this one. I also wrote a parody of this song a while ago "Taxin' us Till We're Poor"
