Song Parodies -> "Gas Station Restrooms"

Original Song Title:

"Sunshine on my Shoulder"

Original Performer:

Bob Denver

Parody Song Title:

"Gas Station Restrooms"

Parody Written by:

Floyd's Garage

The Lyrics

Skidmarks in the toilet left by vagrants
Puke stains on the counter are all dry
Restrooms at the stations where you get gas
Sometimes you would think that something died

If you have to use one don't touch nothing
Perverts do the nasty in the next stall
You have to line the whole seat with paper
Don't know the girl whose number's on the wall

Pee stains in the pissers need some cleaning
Mildew on the tiles turned the grout black
Maybe the attendant should do cleaning
Vapors of bowel movements make you gag

Take some small advice that I will tell you
You might as well drive those extra miles
Someone in the crapper just might be waiting
You don't want to show up in police files

Skidmarks in the toilet left by vagrants
Puke stains on the counter are all dry
Restrooms at the stations where you get gas
Sometimes you would think that something died

Restrooms at the station kills the flies
Restrooms are so scary

You hit the nail right on the head (get it head? A Navy term for restroom? ha ha) ANyway, you are right. The only thing worse than using a gas station bathroom is walking your kid through one.

Doing this to a sugary sweet schmaltzy John Denver song just makes it all the more fun! Great job!

OK OK, so I put Bob instead of John. One's dead and the other just looks it.

I was gonna say, I didn't know that the "Gilligans Island" star was also a singer. ;D So it should be John Denver, not bob, is that right?
dobbs - August 08, 2004 - Report this comment
JMJ Let Bob Denver get the royalties. John Denver doesn't need it anyways, and Bob Denver needs a few hundred large to tide him over to buy this month's pot.

This was excellent, Floyd. I wasn't aware of it when I posted a similarly titled parody "Gas Station Bathroom", which I did to Cream's "White Room" a couple months back. 5's
