| Parody Song Title: | "Godzilla Matsui" |
| Parody Written by: | Steve Kalafut |
Japanese baseball player Hideki Matsui joins the NY Yankees, and acquires a monstrous knickname. "San" is a Japanese title of respect.
With a purposeful grimace and a viscious swing
He makes the splitting high fastball feel his sting
Helpless pitchers on the pitching mound
Stare bug-eyed as he takes them downtown
He catches a ball and he throws it back in
As he dares a baserunner to test his arm again
Hey man, ball player from Japan
Call him Godzilla, yeah
Rock on, the Yank's Matsui-san
He's our Godzilla, yeah
MAT sui Mat sui MAT sui MAT sui (repeat)
[spoken]
Rinji sports o moshiagemasu!
Rinji sports o moshiagemasu!
Godzilla ga ginza hoomen e mukatte imasu!
Daishkyu hinan shite kudasai!
Daishkyu hinan shite kudasai!
[back to singing]
Oh no, the Yanks are on the go
Go go Godzilla, yeah
Oh no, a gift from Tokyo
Go go Godzilla, yeah
Steinbrenner shows again and again
His team can acquire the most talented men (repeat)
Steinbrenner shows again and again
His team can acquire the most talented men
Godzilla!
He makes the splitting high fastball feel his sting
Helpless pitchers on the pitching mound
Stare bug-eyed as he takes them downtown
He catches a ball and he throws it back in
As he dares a baserunner to test his arm again
Hey man, ball player from Japan

Godzilla!
I have no idea what the Japanese spoken part means, so all I could do was change the borrowed English word "news" into "sports".

DKTOS, but any song that makes the Yankees look good... doesn't have to work too hard.
I like Matsui. Yeah, he hasn't been the home run threat he was hyped to be, but the guy's still a pretty good ballplayer. Good job.
