Parody Song Title:

"Suspicious Funerals"

Parody Written by:

Dylan Baranski

Wow, I can't believe that 4 celebrities have died in less than a week. I could understand Ed McMahon passing on, given his age. I felt that Farrah Fawcett died pretty young, though. That was sad. With the deaths of Michael Jackson & Billy Mays, I thought that something smelled pretty rotten. Most likely, this was all a coincidence, but what if those guys perished at the hands of some evil cult? What if a wicked plot is underway? Of course, it's probably just a coincidence, but you never know.
DISCLAIMER: This parody is not intended to offend the friends & families of those I have mentioned earlier. Dylan Baranski is sorry about their losses & sends his condolences. Furthermore, this parody is not meant to be taken seriously. It is merely a crackpot conspiracy theory that someone with an overactive imagination cooked up.
You know the drill. Enjoy! DKTOS?
Read the news today,
Glum reports came my way.
Some famous people had died,
Touched many deep inside.
Families are bereaved,
This I cannot believe.
There’s something going on,
Something tells me something’s wrong.

You might think I made a joke,
There’s a link between these folks.
They’ve been had by a cabal
From some unknown locale.
Who knows what their evil plot is?
I cannot resolve that quiz.
Soon we’ll be burnt in the fire
Of suspicious funeral pyre.

[tempo shift]

Well-known folks struck down,
Buried in the ground.
Dead on nearby dates,
Gone on through the gates.

This cannot be real,
Something’s wrong, I feel!
Some sec is involved -
Mystery I can’t solve.

Suspicious funerals [x4]

[guitar solo]

As you hear my words,
You might think I’m absurd.
But there is a cult
Planning evil results.
First they’ll get the well-known folks,
Then they’ll make the rest croak
Except those who comply,
Those who don’t will surely die.

I got your drift about the fact that 4 celebrities died in less than a week, and I understand wholly about Ed McMahon and Farrah Fawcett due to their age (Ed only) and declining health (both). But as for Michael and Billy, it could have had to do with some uber-religious fanatic group that hates anything secular broadcast on TV and radio. But more likely, it was just a combination of bad luck, coincidence and God deciding that it was their time to go. 5s.

I'm doing a parody in tribute to Michael's tragic death. Maybe a parody between "Love Me Dead" by Ludo or "Halo" by Beyonce. You people decide.

I, too, err on coincidence. . .a lot of 80s legends are reaching old age, and others are battling health issues they've had their whole lives.. . .I just hope we get a break for awhile. . .I won't claim to have ever been a fan of Bill Mays, but his death was something I would have never wished, and though his loud voice sometimes gave me headaches, at least he was respectable (hint hint--sham wow guy--respectable, look it up) Good parody DB

It's sad to hear how 4 icons left this world! They'll always be in my prayers! I echo above comments! 5's for condolences and sentiment! Security code: IMO (In Memory Of)!
