The country stands upon 2004
We've learned that we aren't safe here anymore
We've made the sacrifice, and gone to war
To take our hard won freedoms back, so we went to Iraq

Went off to fight with bunker-buster bombs
Deployed our troops and went to find Saddam
The only victory would see him gone
With that, the allies all attacked
And rained fire on Iraq

Blanket the sand with landmines
Iraqi kids themselves would find
'Bomb their towns, it's just as well
Blast those bastards back to hell'
Bush says he broke the Iraqi's will
And yet our death toll rises still
Haven't they heard we won the war
What do they keep on fighting for?

The people flee their small Iraqi towns
In hopes to dodge the missiles coming down
Entire families, put in the ground
Those people won't be coming back
Those who died in Iraq

Captured behind enemy lines
But US soldiers watch their own
And brought the POW home
But still, George Bush, he isn't done
He won't stop till this war is won
But didn't he already end the war?
What does he keep on fighting for?

And so my friends I ask you humbly please
To both United States...and Middle East
It seems impossible, but pray for peace
That is the one thing we both lack
All our friends in Iraq
