Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Man or Woman?"

Parody Written by:

Merry & Pippin

The Lyrics

We haven't annoyed anyone in awhile, so Pippin thought it might be time to stir the pot again.... ;-)
The debate makes us smile
Malcolm dreams of our thighs
There's no shred of doubt left in Claude Prez's eyes
But we only reveal what we want you to see
We drive Billy wild
Is it man or a woman we be?

We can parody driv-
el like 'Tisk' or 'Torpedo'
But our gender's still moot
It don't hurt our libido
And we really love flatworms - we did 'em times three
We feel quite no grief
That it's not man nor woman you see

Oh- we make parodies gell
We can sate with our words
And we try hard to rhyme
Oh- but we'll never give out
And we'll never admit
Chromosomes of which kind?

Took a hit Box-Tops song
And we set it in Sweden
All those 'postrophes they do
Leave Tone-Def's brain bleedin'
'Bout our sex we do jest
But the worst it could be
Would be lookin' "downstairs"
To find nothing worthwhile there to see!

Hope our faults you don't mind
Hope our lyrics are cool
With our genders we tease ya
Are you really fooled?
Now we can't be predicted
You'll yearn for decree
But the most we will do
Is throw shadows of truth
Is it man or a woman we be?

Would be lookin’ “downstairs” To find nothing worthwhile there to see! - ROFL. Priceless! So lady and/or man, you stir again. Are you two joined at the hip? Maybe you two could start a quiz like that TV game show 'what's my line' and allow us all some yes or no questions. You could call it 'What Kind's Mine?' Very funny parody. Expect this to chart. 5+5+5.

I must have missed the boat somewhere, because Diva had you two figured long before I did. The way I see it , we are all blurbs online and we get small glimpses of each others personality through our parodies and comments. I have to admit, it is a good riddle and you always keep us guessing.

This Jill and Jack, they drive us nuts tonight, and how, these two, should we be filin'? Jill and Jack, do they have putz tonight? Just figure it out, and we'll be smilin'! Aw hell, keep writing stuff like this, and we'll be smilin' anyway.

Thanks so much everybody! I was a bit concerned that maybe another one of these gender songs was 'too much' but I am happy to see it so well received. And Guy, that great 'downstairs' line was Pippin's. :-) Wild Man, Diva has us 'figured out'? Uh oh! :-o

Merry, as they used to say in the early days of MTV, "Too much is never enough!"

We'll figure this out eventually.....and until then, the chase is on.
Peregrin - August 30, 2003 - Report this comment
Jared, there are enough hints and slip-ups around - it's just a case of finding them!

A minority vote here to see the mystery maintained. It's just TOO much fun to see so many parody writer's bewitched, bothered and bewildered by your gender mind-bender. Such exuberance as to if or if not either or both possess a protuberance; I would miss the myth - t'would make me miffed. 5's again here.
