She decided to change just as soon as she could,
And she started to wear what her own brother would,
She determined to be what she wanted to be,
But as long as I live she’s always a woman to me.

I have known her for years, when I first met her mother,
From the very first day she appeared like no other.
And as she grew older she couldn’t agree,
