It’s nine o’clock on a Tuesday night
The election results coming in
The guy on the news said McCain was through
And that Obama most likely would win

I thought okay so let’s give this guy a chance
He can’t be any worse than George Bush
Maybe he’ll go get Bin Laden
And give our economy a push

So he spent a trillion dollars on a stimulus
Saying if not unemployment would rise
But it turned out to be full of earmarks
And the saved jobs were nothing but lies

Spend another trillion dollars on healthcare
This is starting to become quite a joke
Have the government take over everything
While the country quickly goes broke

So tell us more lies Mr. President
Tell us what we want to hear
That the economy is going to be just fine
And that we all have nothing to fear

So they start passing bills on a Saturday
To read them would take quite a while
So they vote pretty much down their party lines
And then stand there with a big stupid smile

While the guys on the hill practice politics
The banks won’t make any loans
They’re all sharing the wealth from the taxpayers
And artificially raise the Dow Jones

So tell us more lies Mr. President
Tell us what we want to hear
That the economy is going to be just fine
And that we all have nothing to fear
