The Lyrics

This parody is about my favorite resteraunt and I decided to sub out Brenda & Eddie with video game characters Mario & Luigi
A drink of Sprite, a drink of Coke
Perhaps a player's card instead
We'll get a table near the TV
In a fun and creative place
You & I-face to face
It all depends on your appetite
I'll meet any week you want
In a Jillian's resteraunt

Things are OK with me these days
Got a computer, got an X-BOX
Got a flatscreen, got some cable
and the family's fine
We lost touch long ago
I gained a little weight I did not know
You look ever so nice after so much time

Do you remember those days hanging out at the 9-ball Lounge
Nike shoes, vintage Hawks jacket and school uniform jeans
Music downstairs in the Hi-Life Lanes playing "It Takes 2" (rob base)
Cold beer, hot lights, reminded of those college nights

Mario & Luigi were the popular steadies
Met a long time ago on "Boy Meets Boy"
Riding around with the PS2 and the stereo on
Nobody looked any finer
Or had ate for lunch during work at the Diner
We never knew we could want more out of life
Oddly, Mario & Luigi would often know how to survive

Mario & Luigi were still going steady in the summer of '95
when they decided they will make another game at the end of July
Everyone saw their antics crazy
"Mario said 'this resteraunt is weird, not lazy'"
Luigi could never afford the things rappers wanted in life"
But there we were wavin' Mario & Luigi goodbye

They got a apartment with parquet floor tiles
and 6 DVDs from Circuit City
A kiddie bunk bed with the Powerpuff Girls
that they saved over the years
They started to fight when the money got tight
And Mario was left alone in tears

They lived for a while in a Trading Spaces style
But it's always the same in the end
They got a video game as a matter of course
and they stayed together the best of friends
The Video game kings went back to the lounge
But would reunite in 2000 again

Mario & Luigi were on TV by the fall of '95
They knew the highs & lows of that Bravo show
For the rest of their lives
They could work back at Nintendo
The best they could do is just pick up the pieces
We always knew they just found a way to get by
Wanna know what happened to Mario & Luigi?
Can't tell you more, 'cause I told you already
They both work for just suits & ties

A drink of coke, A drink of sprite
Whether bowling, playing games or dancing tonight
Just visit anytime you want
In any Jillian's resteraunt
