The Lyrics

Whelp,...another even-numbered year, another long, painful election. With the "Commander in Tweet" in the Orange Oval Office, this has turned into a VERY important midterm in many places. And the politicians and lobbyists are out in spades (and hearts, diamonds and club) with attack ads up the wazoo. Regardless of what happens on November 6, at least I can look up at the TV on November 7 and NOT have to see what narrow-minded people think will happen if we vote the other guy in! So...I think we should celebrate! So, if you're watching the coverage that night, play Bay City Rollers and sing along with these lyrics! Share and Enjoy!
E-L E-C-T I-O-N Day
E-L E-C-T I-O-N Day
E-L E-C-T I-O-N Day
E-L E-C-T I-O-N Day

Gonna watch CNN, gonna see who'll win
On Election Day, Election Day
See who most successful making folks' heads spin
On Election Day, Election Day

Will Republicans hold sway
Or Democrats blow 'em 'way

Least it's all done; ads are gone
Relief for ev'ry one
Election Day, Election Day
Gonna count 'em up (or) throw 'em out
Depends on (who) they want won
Election Day

Election Da-a-a-a-a-a-a-y
E-E-E-Election Da-a-a-a-a-a-a-y
E-E-E-Election Da-a-a-a-a-a-a-y
E-E-E-Election Da-a-a-a-a-a-a-y

E-L E-C-T I-O-N Day
E-L E-C-T I-O-N Day
E-L E-C-T I-O-N Day
E-L E-C-T I-O-N Day

Gonna head to the polls; make sure my voice is heard
On Election Day, Election Day
Tell them even though they will not hear a word
On Election Day, Election Day

Congress, Senate, Gov'nors, too
Who gets picked for us to boo?

Pick our new do-nothing crew
You know that we're all screwed
Election Day, Election Day
No negative ads; not a fad
"We are good, they be bad"
Election Day

Election Da-a-a-a-a-a-a-y
E-E-E-Election Da-a-a-a-a-a-a-y
E-E-E-Election Da-a-a-a-a-a-a-y
E-E-E-Election Da-a-a-a-a-a-a-y

(countless negative ads get louder and louder over the bridge:)
E-L E-C-T I-O-N Day
E-L E-C-T I-O-N Day
E-L E-C-T I-O-N Day
E-L E-C-T I-O-N Day
E-L E-C-T I-O-N Day
E-L E-C-T I-O-N Day
E-L E-C-T I-O-N Day
E-L E-C-T I-O-N Day

E-E-E-Election Da-a-a-a-a-a-a-y
E-E-E-Election Da-a-a-a-a-a-a-y
E-E-E-Election Da-a-a-a-a-a-a-y
E-E-E-Election Da-a-a-a-a-a-a-y...
(fade out...while fading in to more negative ads)
This may SOUND like a deterrent to vote...but, for 4DLUVOF, get out and vote anyway! And remember, not voting = no b***hing!

It is funny that when you see a commercial for a politician, the picture they show is the opponent. And they can all make health care better and cheaper, but schools have to get more expensive.

This one seemed a bit unloved when I got here, so i have upped the numbers in your 3 primary counts. Kudos for using a Bay City Rollers tune. And spot on with the lines "We are good, they be bad" and "countless negative ads get louder and louder". I see some things remain the same in politics regardless of where one lives.
