Song Parodies -> I Fight the Orcs
| Original Song Title: | "I Write the Songs" |
| Original Performer: | Barry Manilow |
| Parody Song Title: | "I Fight the Orcs" |
| Parody Written by: | Edward Genereux |
This is my 51st parody and this time I am turning to a Lord of the Rings theme. This is dedicated to the Fellowship of the Ring; may their adventures never disappear from the shelves of libraries around the world!
Aragorn.
I am a king of Gondor;
My fathers fought some of the orcs.
I mash the orcs and the Uruk-Hai together;
I am legend and I fight the orcs.
Refrain.
I fight the orcs who want naught but the Ring;
I fight the orcs who will kill anything;
I fight the orcs who make the hobbits cry;
I fight the orcs, I fight the orcs.
Legolas.
My home's the land of Mirkwood;
I mourn for the elves who have left.
Now when I fight at Pelennor,
I'm whole again, even though I am bereft.
(Refrain)
Gimli.
Oh, the orcs are numerous,
But they will never mean sh** to us
'Cos I forged a battle axe so we can win.
Eowyn.
Evil filled some hearts,
But I chose not to take one part;
We hate orcs, Uruk-Hai,
Sauron and Saruman.
We are doing what we can.
(Refrain 2x)
All.
We are legend (legend) and we fight the orcs.
I am a king of Gondor;
My fathers fought some of the orcs.
I mash the orcs and the Uruk-Hai together;
I am legend and I fight the orcs.
Refrain.
I fight the orcs who want naught but the Ring;
I fight the orcs who will kill anything;
I fight the orcs who make the hobbits cry;
I fight the orcs, I fight the orcs.
Legolas.
My home's the land of Mirkwood;
I mourn for the elves who have left.
Now when I fight at Pelennor,
I'm whole again, even though I am bereft.
(Refrain)
Gimli.
Oh, the orcs are numerous,
But they will never mean sh** to us
'Cos I forged a battle axe so we can win.
Eowyn.
Evil filled some hearts,
But I chose not to take one part;
We hate orcs, Uruk-Hai,
Sauron and Saruman.
We are doing what we can.
(Refrain 2x)
All.
We are legend (legend) and we fight the orcs.
Note I broke up the bridge to give lines to Gimli and Eowyn. All Lord of the Rings characters were created by J.R.R. Tolkien.

Brilliant use of a Manilow song, but Barry's songs alone, when played out loud, could have defeated the Orcs on it's own!!!
lol. Barry Manilo and Orcs. The combo alone is funny. Good job!
