Parody Song Title:

"My Way - Or Else"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

I'm not easy, PHB
Reputation as a one-way Boss
Asking nothing, it's all "ME"
Your opinion ain't worth a toss
Don't give reasons, don't say why
My job's to tell you what to do
You're on com-pany time
You'll do it like I tell you to

You do it my way - or else
My way - or else
I tell ya' my way - or else
My way - or else!

My choices, my limits
Only one guy says what's goin' down
Didn't tell ya? Don't begin it
I'm the head honcho in this town
Hey fella - what you doin'?
Thinkin' you can do it your own way
Why? You askin... why's it me?
Because I got myself an MBA

You do it my way - or else
My way - or else
Got to be my way - or else
My way - or else
(Don't push me)

All that's going down, all my way
You do it my way
...or else

Very true!! :-( Still, you captured everything I have not respected about some former bosses, EXCEPT no references to how much they DON'T know about how the job SHOULD be done. ;-) Also, their focus is different than the worker. Number one priority is saving money (not for the company, but for the management's paycheck).

Thanks, guys. Have to admit, I'd not thought of this as applying to ol' Dubya - I've never really felt that he was a "we'll do it my way" sort of character: more a sort of "that's the way I've been told to do it"-type. Whether it's being told to do it by God, Rove or Rumsfeld - that's the scary thing. And maybe that explains the 1s - I found it hard to think that a PHB-type could find it so insulting ;-)

All I recall of the original is the chorus, which is actually just the title shouted repeatedly. But you nailed that sub, Philbo.

Shouted, Spaff? You obviously haven't grasped the subtlety of Bon Scott's vocal style ;-)
