The Lyrics

The idea for this came when seeing a video of Rick Astley performing Highway To Hell from AC/DC at the Glastonbury Music Festival ... and my first thought was, "What an opportunity for the ultimate Rick Roll." Thusly ...
Living easy.. Loving free
Season ticket on a one way ride
Asking nothing ... Leave me be
Taking everything in my stride
You know the rules .. So do I
Just want to tell about how I feel
You won't get this .. from other guys
I gotta make you understand

Ain't gonna give you up!
Aint gonna let you down
Or run around
Aint gonna desert you

No good-byes ... Tears limit
You'll never get no lies from me
Know the rules ... I wont spin it
Dont tell you're too blind to see
Hey AC ... Gave the screw
You're now playing in a Rick Rolled band
Hey Bon Scott ... Look at me
Your song's transformed now
Into something bland

You're on the Highway to Rick!
You're on the Highway to Rick!
Highway to Rick!
Straight on the Highway to Rick! ....

You're on the the Highway to Rick

(Let me tell you, AC/DC didnt take too kindly to this, as they immediately stormed the stage with this protest)

Na na na na na na na NAA na .. RICK-ROLLED
Na na na na na na na NAA na .. RICK-ROLLED
Na na na na na na na NAA na .. RICK-ROLLED
Na na na na na na na NAA na .. RICK-ROLLED
Na na na na na na na NAA na.. RICK-ROLLED
Na na na na na na na NAA na .. RICK-ROLLED

(Repeat about a half a dozen more times)

We were tricked
Letting Rick sing our most bad ass track
Heard "Let you down"
And knew we were rolled by a hack
Our minds raced
When he trashed our most famous riff
As we heard
"Never gonna give; gonna give"
Sound of his voice ... Breaking our heart
Blandness of words ... Tore us apart
We've been ... Astley struck
Yeah, yeah, yeah ... Astley struck

(That's all folks. That was the extent of their protest)

I forgot to add ... The next day, AC/DC, facing a massive pro-Rick backlash and cognizant that they had been overly harsh on Rick Astley with their truncated song parody .... "walked back" their criticism by saying -- "Rick and Roll aint noise pollution."

The title of the parody as submitted was "Highway to Rick: (AC/DC Gets Rick Rolled)" Apparently, I may or may not have have violated the rule against too many words in a titular, parenthetical add on, as set out in Amiright Rule 2-207 Subsection (IV {D-3a}) At the moment my legal team is exploring any and all possible remedial action ... (Just kidding, Chuck)
