The Lyrics

I realize that Matthias and Dr Oliver Clozoff have already done this parody, but I think you'll agree this is slightly different... it was written in about ten minutes: there were some D&D players in the corner of the pub where I played last night, and one of the other acts commented which gave me the idea for writing this. Two five-minute sets followed, then I was on playing this. First time I've ever performed TNT (though it is a riff I know fairly well).
Orc! Orc! Orc! Orc! Orc! Orc! Orc! Orc!

See me fighting a dragon with my
D10 vorpal sword
Suit of magic armour will be
My just reward
Wizard to the left of me
Wood elf to the right

But dragons're immune to magic, guess we're
Gonna lose this fight

'Cause it's D&D - it's in our heads
D&D - I'm not really dead
D&D - It beats real life
D&D... just don't ask the wife

The bloody dwarf
Has just ****ed orf
Yeah, he ran away
Then the wood-elf touched me up
Elves're always that way
They'll gobble the hobbits
Gobble the mage
Gobble the goblins inside their cage

Don't you always find
Elves are that way inclined?

'Cause it's D&D... It isn't real
D&D... but that's the appeal
D&D... my head has grown
D&D... a world of its own

See me fighting a dragon with my
D10 vorpal blade
My 30-D6 uzi and my
Holy hand grenade
SAS to the left of me
Marines to the right
Got a great big gun
And an RPG, oh yeah
I'm gonna win this fight

'Cause it's D&D... it's yet more fun
D&D... with bombs and guns
D&D... it beats writing code
D&D... watch 'em explode

Nicely done! You can never have too many D&D parodies of TNT.

Aww... all those fond memories back in the university. You'll get 555 XP for this.

Loved the ending Phil. My old dungeon master's screen ended up making a good shield to put in front of the popcorn machine to keep the kernels from straying too far - to everything there is a season.

Not nearly as good as the one written by that Matthias guy. Something about his writing is just pure gold. He's the Shakespeare of the parody world. Weird Al bows to his genius. Just kidding, This was pretty brilliant and actually a lot more true to D&D than mine (which was just basically a -make fun of nerds- parody)

:-) Thanks all..

Matthias - "More true t o D&D"? So you find elves are a bit that way inclined, too?

I Know nowt to little about the subject matter, but the parody fills me in nicely. I particularly like the choice of OS here Phil, fits perfectly, especially the "I'm dirty, mean, and mighty unclean" verse :)
