Oh I was glad to be an ACLU person
That is what I'd truly wanted to be
'Cause as an ACLU person
I support your freedom to be.

ACLU needs support each and every day
'Cause Freedom is the their war cry
And they protect us in many a way
Let's just hope that they remember why

But my concern is now for my country
Which is the great U S of A
But too many people are seeking entry
More and more each and every day

Why can't this country just stop growing
Since that is truly what we need
'Cause if this country keeps on growing
It's just ever more people that we feed

Now I am a concerned ACLU person
That is what truly regret to be
Why I am a concerned ACLU person
Is they do some things I hate to see.

Immigrants just keep on a coming
Leaving their home, friends and family
Immigrants have dreams of becoming
Rich enough to also bring their family

Why does the ACLU protect them
Since illegal immigration is so very wrong
We need the ACLU to help stop them
And keep the laws of this country strong

Immigrants aren't citizens and that I know
Though millions of them really want to be
Immigrants cause population to really grow
Threatening our bright future yet to be

Now I regret to say I'm an ACLU person
Though that is what I'd wanted to be
'Cause I thought that as an ACLU person
They'd protect legal citizens like me.

Their first job is citizen's rights to protect
In the courts they should pursue their jobs
Their second job is citizen's liberty to protect
And not try to be politically correct snobs.

American is what the A in ACLU stands for
And America is what we worry most about
Immigration shouldn't be an open door
To foreigners just seeking a way out

Oh I'd like again to be an ACLU person
That is what I'd truly like to be
But I cannot be an ACLU person
Unless they fight open borders sea to sea.
