The Lyrics

Disco Stu now has a parody trib-ute...
While doped up on some Quaaludes
I’ll dance and roller skate
A mirror ball made of chrome
I’ll point my finger straight
I've got a humongous fro
And leisure suits are my fashion
Don’t need a comb
Groovy ladies are my dates

I boogied hard to Bee Gees disco
High on cocaine I’ll Watergate
To be like Travolta is hard
I’d be in the ER
Those ABBA songs… Will fill my ears
Britney Spears?

That chick’s a smear… Compared to Disco
See me hang loose to Chic’s “Le Freak”
Goldfish in platform shoes, I’m no weirdo
Disco’s not dead… It hides… In me…

There must be a Tony Bennett contest or something going on, can't possibly be Artistry still:) I like the idea of singing the sultry slow style of I Left My Heart in San Francisco about Bee Gees Disco because they really are so opposite of each other. Honestly, I prefer the Bee Gees Disco, but will always like Bennett's voice. . .but I know I'm in the minority there

Pretty busy but good. My career as a DJ/KJ took off unexpectedly. Crazy and weird apparently are loved when people are out to have a good time or having their wedding receptions or birthday parties. I thought the now defunct badave.com was high maintenance, but my website for this is so much more work but it's so worth it. So how have you been?

That's awesome Dave! Glad to see you here! Hopefully you'll be able to join us on a few of these rounds or at least see a new parody by you because it's been years! I'm happy to hear that you're making a good career for yourself in doing something that you love to do! Well done!

Actually planning on building a parody specific writers site. . .and tying it to my main website since it's dedicated to karaoke and most songs people parody are thus on that site. It's not going to be quite like AmIRight, and I still plan to participate here again--eventually--when I get through all my personal work and am in maintenance mode instead of builders' mode.

Great title sub, and quite the juxtaposition between the OS and BeeGee's disco. And BAD lives!

@BAD, just be aware a lot of timbre of community spirit and goodwill has gone south herewhen you do want to get into the fray, come in with a thick skin. I am still the same ol' me. @Matty, enjoyable stuff, especially for a child of the 70s such as me. 555

Yeah, hard not to notice. All the songs were heavily one bombed with no comments shortly after posting. The ratings never had much meaning but now they may as well be removed all together, as they have from the pages. The comments by people who either don't write parodies or are using pseudonyms in place of their names is also much higher and there are a few nice ones I've noticed but most are saying things completely unrelated to anything in the parody (largely political rubbish-even though the vast majority of the parodies are not at all politically motivated) This is unfortunate, but then I know I'm only posting for feedback from parodists and interested parties--some nameless person posting random political swipes would mean nothing. I've written several here and there offline, and not bothered posting cause I knew I couldn't be active. . .but it appears that the political nonsense has kinda taken a toll on amiright. It was in a slight decline when I was last active, but I can't help but notice even compared to that numbers are down. It appears thick skin hasn't been enough to deal with the trolls. . .I'll do my part to right the ship even though the trolls will undoubtedly continue so long as non-membership commenting, voting et al is allowed--which given the site's age I feel is unlikely to change

(Artistry) "Your fish are dead" "Yeah, I know. I can't get them out of there" Great tribute to a classic character despite the slow-as-balls OS, 555! And Long Live BAD!

This was a pretty solid spoof, and a great title sub...but I don't know if I feel the same way about the subject matter/tempo of the OS. I guess as a love song to the era, it fits...but other than that, it's kinda weird. A lot of great lines, but that juxtaposition threw me.

(Artistry) I agree that the tone contrast didn't exactly work for me. I think the content was begging for something a tad faster. It was a little too dreamy for me. However, baring the OS, the lyrics were very funny, and departed from the original tune, I loved it! Tony Bennett just really isn't my cup of tea.
