The Lyrics

I listened to the amiright tribute recording, and I thought most of the parody verses were gross, but the last one was great! As most of you know "I Think We're Alone Now" was a great hit released in the 60s by Tommy James and The Shondells, then a cover was performed by Tiffany in the 80s. In 1988, "Weird Al" Yankovic did a parody called "I Think I'm A Clone Now" on his album, "Even Worse". Now I see that two other people have parodied this song with this same title - Michael Pacholek and D. Graham. However, their parodies talked about it being a hazard when driving. I wanted to write a parody about it being a disruptive problem in movie theater auditoriums, where it's usually always prohibited! I hope you all like my version.
This matinee, is such a real cool film now
I watch it and say, thumbs up - it's wonderful, but
As I sit reclined here in my chair
Someone in the next row doesn't care
He won't shut it off in here it's driving me nuts
All the audience in the theater trys to beg him as we sit here in our seats

Hang up your cell phone now
It's really disrepctful when you talk so loud
Hang up your cell phone now
Noise in auditoriums is just not allowed

Look at the way he is ignoring people
But what can we say
He can't understand and so our
tolerance has run out - he's made us mad
Talking in a quiet zone's real bad

Ruin the film today - let's throw him out
You need to learn that this is disruption is
one thing that is prohibited in here

Hang up your cell phone now
It's really disrepctful when you talk so loud
Hang up your cell phone now
Noise in auditoriums is just not allowed

Hang up your cell phone now
It's really disrepctful when you talk so loud
Hang up your cell phone now
Noise in auditoriums is just not allowed
I am still not getting too many comments. I am trying harder to make my parodies better, but it seems challenging at times. This is my twelfth parody. So far, nobody has voted or commented on "Assets Run Dry" or "Who Will Pay The Toll?" In addition, I have not received any comments on "No Drugs" either. The only two songs that have gotten a lot of votes and comments are "This Land Is My Land" and "Will I Have Money Tomorrow?" I hope more of you will read my parodies in the near future and continue to leave comments! If this is the first parody of mine that you have read, please do CLICK ON THIS LINK AND READ ALL MY OTHER PARODIES, then tell me how you like them as well!!!!!!!

Thanks for listening to our tribute, and getting inspiration from it. I'm with you on the cell phone issue, I call them the new cigarettes. All those people that quit smoking found a new addiction to annoy people with in public. As for the parodies I chose being gross, I tried to pick a variety of authors and subjects that I could fit together easily, and that Mari and I could sing. Humor is like food, people have a huge variety of tastes. And this site covers it all. I notice you are still here, making an impact, so there is something redeeming about it.

You're the third guy to try this title... I hope you'll handle finishing third better than Mean Howie Dean did.

David - I checked this out after seeing some comments today. I originally thought this song WAS one of the other versions and I believe I voted on those already. Your version is ok but I think too close to the others to be considered very original. I voted 3-3-3 because of that. I will take a look at some of your other stuff and see if I know the songs.

I like this song too, I hate people using Cell Phones in public where they cause a major nuissance!
