Song Parodies -> "Fight Fiercely, Righties"

Original Song Title:

"Fight Fiercely, Harvard"

Original Performer:

Tom Lehrer

Parody Song Title:

"Fight Fiercely, Righties"

Parody Written by:

Katharine

The Lyrics

A pointed reply to the other politically-related 'Fight Fiercely, Harvard' parody. I'm a card-carrying liberal.
Fight fiercely, right wing,
fight, fight, fight!
Demonstrate to them our will.
Albeit they've the mental might,
Nonetheless we're rather shrill.
How we would celebrate a victory,
We would send them cartons full of tea*
(How nasty!)
Hurl a racist slur or two, and
Fight, fight, fight!

Fight fiercely, right wing,
fight, fight, fight!
Impress them with our lobby, do!
Oh, brothers, do defend the status quo,
'Cause Fox News, it speaks true.
Come on, chaps, for tradition and for rote,
Won't it be peachy if we win the vote?
(Oh, lordy!)
Let's try not to hurt ourselves, but
Fight, fight, fight!
Let's not be civil!
Fight, fight, fight!
And do fight fiercely!
Fight, fight, fight!
* A reference to the unfortunately rather popular Tea Party in the United States.

You're wrong, Katharine. The "Tea Party" is NOT rather popular. It's only popular with an insignificant minority of people who call themselves "Americans" but are completely at odds with the American tradition. In other words... Great parody, and I'm sure Lehrer (who is still alive) would approve!

Although I'm conservative, I like Lehrer. I'll give you a good score for execution. On this site, civility and graciousness are also the exclusive property of the right (or maybe it's just the old...lol...heck, maybe it's just me!). ;D

I see the two-bomber got you. Take heart...Michael's friend and alter ego the one-bomber missed you. You are liberal...so you'll be O.K. ;D

Come on, chaps! Fight for no lines just the same.
We should be teaching newbies that is lame. Oh, should we!
Let's try not to injure them or amIright!

Just a little constructive criticism; I look forward to your future submissions. 5-3-4

The purpose of the Constitution was to protect the rights of everyone from majority prejudices. Libs should be careful about branding the Tea Party a "minority". Under their rules, that would mean that we get special protections and privileges. Not only would our Second Amenment rights be upheld, the government would be required to subsidize us with special training, shooting ranges, and gun stamps so we could exercise that right. I'll let you know where to send my Uzi.
