Parody Song Title:

"Peter Brady"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

well, he's the brother we all want
he is kind and never taunts
he is a winner
well, he always knows his place
when he dines, he says grace
he's no sinner

peter brady...whoa whoa whoa...peter brady
talkin' about my favorite brady
he's a brady, sublime

from the straight path, he don't stray
both his parents, he obeys
there's no stressin'
he will never hog the phone
its a clean room that he owns
there's no messin'

peter brady...whoa whoa whoa...peter brady
talkin' about my favorite brady
he's a brady, sublime

well, he lost his mother...that was rough
he didn't wanna lose her
but his stepmom gets respect
he never would abuse her
he don't make her lose her mind
no antics to confuse her
doesn't do no poutin'...he is sensible that way
hey hey hey

well, he's not an oafish lout
and he helps his siblings out
this bunch ain't measly
well, his heart's steadfastly true
and the right thing, he will do
he's never weasely

peter brady...whoa whoa whoa...peter brady
talkin' about my favorite brady
he's a brady, sublime

Good stuff, Alvin. Very good substitutions, but I think I might have liked it better if you spoofed him instead of praising him.

I think this was cute. A nice tribute to the oft-overlooked middle child

John, don't you know sarcasim when you read it? This is a good example of irony.

I like this parody much better than the TV show. I thought the show was dumb. Peter's TV dad (Robert Reed) didn't go for ladies. But this parody is a real lady. Give her 5's.

I didn't read this as ironic either, though it was catchy and well-written. I may never hear the original again without thinking of this version, so thanks a lot for that. Good stuff as always.

2Eagle, good question. Is this a sincere tribute or is it sarcasm? Only Alvin can answer that, but I think he likes to keep his readers guessing.

i was looking forward to references about the voice cracking, the broken vase incident, the bike repair job, even the lookalike twin. Oh well, there wasn't that much room in the OS for it, I suppose.
