My dang old yard looks a shame
And the neighbors all complain
Been gonna' mow it but just can't get "mow"tivated
It's like a jungle, there
And pretty scary,
Lost three kids, and my wife, Mary
Guess I should cut the Green Green Grass Of Home

At nights I have trouble sleepin'
I'm hearin' creatures creepin'
Out there among The Green Green Grass Of Home

The old mower's still there standiin'
Pull cord waitin' to be pulled
And there's that can a gas
That I bought last Summer..
It's like a jungle, now
And really scary
No sign of kids, or my wife, Mary
Prob'lly should mow The Green Green Grass Of Home

But then, I wake...and Lord, they found me !
Crab grass monsters, all around me..
And I realize that I ain't just a' dreamin'
It's like "A Christmas Carol" Scrooge and Marley
Three ghosts take me on a Harley
Somewhere deep within The Green Green Grass Of Home

Then it all got more scary,
Threatened to return..the kids and Mary
Next day I mowed The Green Green Grass Of Home..
