The Lyrics

This song medley takes place at the night of when Horton's Who friend is captured by the Eagle. It's one of the sadder songs in the opera.
**Who**
Horton, can you hear me?
He'll eat me for dinner
Horton, can you feel me?
Lonely here without you.....

**Who**
Horton, can you hear me?
Eagle-Man's a sinner
Horton, can you feel me?
Lonely here without you.....

(Guitar interlude that slows down and plays into the intro from "Behind Blue Eyes")

**Horton**
No one knows what it's like
To lose a best friend
To be a sad man
Behind blue eyes

Don't want to know what it's like
To be eaten
To be beaten
Can you hear my cries?....

[Chorus:]
I can't eat
I've lost some sleepin'
And I sit and watch TV
I have hours, only lonely
I'll get my vengeance
He will be free

No one knows what it's like
To feel these feelings
Like I do
I miss you, Who

There's something in my heart
That is missing
None of my pain an' woe
Can show through

[Chorus:]
I can't eat
I've lost some sleepin'
And I'm staying up till Three
I have hours, only lonely
I'll get my vengeance
He will be free

("Help me, Horton!")
("H-E-L-P!"...)
("I'm lonely!")
("Help me, Horton!")
("Help me, Horton!")
("H-E-L-P!"...)
("I'm lonely!")
("Help me, Horton!")
("Help me, Horton!")
("H-E-L-P!"...)
("I'm lonely!")
("Help me, Horton!")
("Help me, Horton!")
("H-E-L-P!"...)
("I'm lonely!")
("Help me, Horton!")

No one knows what it's like
To be mistreated
He'll be defeated
But here I cry

I want that Eagle to say
That he's sorry
I will worry
Never-ending cries

[Chorus:]
I can't eat
I've lost some sleepin'
I'm as lonely as can be
I have hours, only lonely
I'll get my vengeance
He will be free

No one knows what it's like
To lose a best friend
To be a sad man
Behind blue eyes

You obviously put sincere effort into this Horton series. Good work!

Also very clever. Let me qualify my two fours and my one four on your other 'Horton' song today. Both songs simply use the original lyrics too much for me. Even if it works, play around with and change more of the lines. And for some weird reason, the line 'I have hours, only lonely' just doesn't make sense to me. I will say the part where you spell out 'help' was quite funny.

Better than Limp Bizkit's attempt anyway.

What's up with all these parodies of songs by The Who about the Dr. Seuss creation of Horton the Elephant?
