The Lyrics

NOT the guest you want at Thanksgiving!!!
Ever since I knew my friend Roy,
Turkeys were his downfall.
From the neck down to anus
He chewed and ate it all
Feathered friends flew no where near him
If he grabbed them they were mauled...

My half crazed and wild friend
Just gobbled turkeys whole!

He drooled like a pitbull,
His mouth moved like a machine.
Gnawing through the sinews,
Licking all bones clean.
Gives no good impressions,
No feathers, swallowed all.
My sharp toothed and crazed friend,

Sure has that turkey mauled!

He eats turkey gizzards,
Tried to pry it from his fist.
Now bag of innerds,
got swallowed with a twist.

'How can we eat our supper? Just don't look!
Where now is our food?

Please don't give him distractions.
Your near hand he'll bite and yell,
"Caught my teeth a flashin'
It's just meat I smell!"
Seconds left are "No Way!",
He won't leave scraps at all...
My belching and full friend.

Left us no food at all.

I thought he was
The Gobble Turkey King.
After a car crash
Three vultures gobbled him.

So much now at our table.
Roy had met his best.
His feathered friends did him in,
And now he's laid to rest.
Feels good to have all my fingers,
His teeth might have mauled...
My chewed up and dead friend,

Swallowed by turkeys all!

See above! It's weird to see a Thanksgiving song win for SOTM because Holiday songs hardly ever do unless they're outstanding, like this one was.

Holiday songs don't always fare well but you managed to pull this off. A few syllable emphasis issues didn't detract from overall quality, good job. :)

(ABC S/T) Nice to read this satire again! Turkey gizzards are tasty the second time around! My dogs would sure like them, that's for sure! The gizzard wizard casts 555's worth of turkey parts!

Still one of your most interesting parodies, Nothing to really correct on this one although, "Just gobbled turkeys whole!" could have been changed to balls to make it even more crazy, but this one is just very chuckle worthy no matter how you look at it. . .

Thanks for the second meal advice, Dave!!

ABC-ST

Mark - "It's hard to fly with eagles when you work with turkeys". But I must say that this one soars with the eagle. I even bet they imbibed in Wild Turkey™ at Roy's wake. I gobbled up the fine entertainment that this read provided. Extremely well done and clever to boot!

(ABC5) See above...still wondering about this mythical holiday known as "Thanksgiving". Clearly such a thing can only be known in the mystical land of "America" where amazing things like "Jell-O" and "Wal-Mart" abound.
Mark Scotti - October 15, 2010 - Report this comment
Yes, bobpie, it is a very HEAVY duty turkey feasting day in the U.S.A. I believe Canada also has a Thanksgiving holiday as well. Thanks!!!

Mark Scotti - December 04, 2010 - Report this comment
Thanks, Matthias! i would LOVE to record this, but I want it done right. My other ones were professionally done through my submitting them to a radio station and they produced it, I do push for this one. One day... And thanks for the extra eggs, Christie!
