The Lyrics
Boeing built a stealth aircraft demonstrator in the early 1960s called "Quiet Bird" (Model 853). It used early RAM and was configured to refect radar by shape. It had canted tails, exhaust forward of the trailing edge, gold-plated canopy, and had a trapezoid fuselage. Tested at Boeing, Witchita. No manned flights. Was doomed due to low performance as a strike aircraft. Most records destroyed in 1970s, but recent pics and some data released. It would later influence the Bird of Prey prototype which was manned.

First time I heard of this one. The Lockheed Flying Wing of the 1940's had some radar evading characteristics. Not like the cumbersome B-36. Though I did like the Jimmy Stewart movie. But that plane would have been a sitting duck for any Russian interceptor that could see the contrails from 100 miles away. Just finished watching "The Arrow" with Dan Ackroyd. Sad fate for a marvelous plane.
