In the cartoon, the Peanuts cartoon
The Linus sleeps tonight
In the cartoon, the Peanuts cartoon
The Linus sleeps tonight
Holds his blanket, his best blue blanket
And sucks his faithful thumb
Believes Great Pumpkin is really somethin'
On Halloween will come
Older sister is like a blister
And Lucy is her name
When they're boxing, she's still outfoxing
She beats him at his game
Second baseman, that is his place, man
On Charlie's baseball team
Sometimes pitches with blanket switches
And wins games like a dream
Blanket toter's a gospel quoter
Theology's correct
Even smarter than Jimmy Carter
Linus has intellect
In the cartoon, the Peanuts cartoon
The Linus sleeps tonight
In the cartoon, the Peanuts cartoon
The Linus sleeps tonight...
The Linus sleeps tonight
In the cartoon, the Peanuts cartoon
The Linus sleeps tonight
Holds his blanket, his best blue blanket
And sucks his faithful thumb
Believes Great Pumpkin is really somethin'
On Halloween will come
Older sister is like a blister
And Lucy is her name
When they're boxing, she's still outfoxing
She beats him at his game
Second baseman, that is his place, man
On Charlie's baseball team
Sometimes pitches with blanket switches
And wins games like a dream
Blanket toter's a gospel quoter
Theology's correct
Even smarter than Jimmy Carter
Linus has intellect
In the cartoon, the Peanuts cartoon
The Linus sleeps tonight
In the cartoon, the Peanuts cartoon
The Linus sleeps tonight...

nice tribute to my favorite 'peanuts' character...even smarter than jimmy carter...lol
And that's what song parodies are all about, Charlie Brown!
Thanks for writing with me in mind. 5's
I love this, Sir ! Loved the Line: "Blanket toter ". If it weren't so hotttttttt, . . . I'd grab my blankie !
Charlie never kicked the football, but Snoopy finally got the blanket - and you get fives.
Wonder what could have been done with the opening/closing chant..."weee-dededeeee[etc], weohwimoweeeeh.." Eh well, clever sub.
Thanks, alvin, Michael, Lionel, SleepyCoug, 2Eagle, and Agrimorfee
AH. .. taking me back a bit of time there. Linus, the blue blanket peanuts character. Very cool tribute to one of the lesser known stars of the classic cartoon series.
Thanks to Dave
Lesser known Dave? C'mon! He's like the third most popular character on that show first two of course Snoopy and Charlie Brown, but lesser known? It's not like Pig Pen or something.... Anyways, my ranting aside this was a great parody (Even without the chant although it would have been nice to see it done).
Thanks, Matthias, the chant crossed my mind a time or two...but no overhead light bulbs flashed
That was just beautiful. Linus was my fave.
A Peanuts parody! Genius! I loved this one - hey, maybe with a word in the right shell-like, they could use this for a future Snoopy cartoon!
I just thought this was fun, AFW...it made my Monday morning. =)
Thanks to Peregrin, Wendy, and Arwen
