The news came out in the First World War,
The bloody Red Baron was at it once more,
The Allied command called the K-9 patrol,
He knew Woodrow Wilson didn't wanna go!

T'was the night before Christmas, so the story goes,
When Snoopy went flyin' in search of his foe.
He saw the Red Baron and fired a shot,
The Baron returned fire, Snoopy knew he was caught.

Or good will to man.

The Baron had Snoopy trapped like a mouse,
He revved up his motor, and chased the doghouse.
In just a few minutes he was on Snoopy's tail,
And the doghouse's engine started to fail.

The Baron made Snoopy fly to the Rhine,
The doghouse crash-landed behind enemy lines.
Snoopy was certain that this was the end,
When the Baron cried out, "We need to talk, mein friend!"

The Baron then said, "You Yanks make me cry,
Your pets are now soldiers, and your doghouses fly.
If my comrade had told me, I'd have called him a liar,
But I've seen enough, now I think I'll retire!"
