Wonder why no one seems to have made this connection before. Royal Guardsmen had at least 3 Snoopy songs in the 1960's including "Snoopy for President". I'd vote for him over any current candidate.
I'm with Patrick on the voting thing. A few years ago, little Sunol, CA, voted a dog mayor.
When I was a kid I was upset when I found out they were saying "Sloopy" instead of "Snoopy."
I'm from Ohio and I got a degree from Ohio State University. Yet it wasn't until the 8th grade I found out that the title is "Hang On Sloopy". Yes, I thought it was "Snoopy" for a long time! The OSU Marching Band plays it at games - it's Ohio State's fight song. Go Bucks, Beat Michigan!
Let me give a belated response to Patrick and John. Due to what's been more recently revealed about Obama and Romney, a dog for president is looking better than ever.
