The Lyrics

Johannes Kepler was an understudy of Tycho Brahe, and tried for years to get Brahe's planetary position data to fit perfectly circular orbits. Alas, he later discovered that the orbits were actually elliptical.
Brahe, Brahe,
So good to me.
Brahe's data, it was all I hoped it would be.
But Tycho Brahe, Tycho Brahe couldn't guarantee
Circular orbits would be the geometry.

Brahe, Brahe, can't make it fit.
Brahe, Brahe, why can't I get the correct orbit?
Oh Tycho Brahe, you gave me no warnin' of what was to be!
Oh Tycho Brahe, how could I know gravity?

Gonna go insane, gonna go insane
Gonna go insane, and lose my mind, yeah!
And if the orbit's off, and if the orbit's off
You will find me cryin' all of the time.

Brahe, Brahe,
So good to me.
Brahe's data, it was all I hoped it would be.
But Tycho Brahe, Tycho Brahe so now can't you see
Plotting these orbits will be the death of me?

Gonna go insane, gonna go insane
Gonna go insane, and lose my mind, yeah!
And if the orbit's off, and if the orbit's off
You will find me cryin' all of the time.

Brahe, Brahe,
Can't make it fit.
Brahe, Brahe,
Why can't I get the orbit.
Oh, Brahe, Brahe,
It's such a pain.
Brahe, Brahe,
I'll go insane.

I thought this was funny, but then again, I'm a shameless geek! 5's!

And in my astrogeeky opinion, both Tycho Brahe and Johannes Kepler were lucky bastards - Brahe witnessed a supernova in our galaxy in 1572, and Kepler witnessed a supernova in our galaxy in 1604 - and there ain't been any comparable supernovae in our galaxy visible naked-eye-during-the-daytime from Earth since!

Thanks for the kind comments, everybody. This was my first parody post, and like a newbie, I accidently posted my first draft instead of the final version. I rewrote the chorus a bit, and completely changed the third verse. Should I put the new lyrics in a comment here, or repost the entire song?
