My dad was a fan of the Kingston Trio, so I remember "Merry Minuet" Havent heard the song in.50 years, so had to hear it on YouTube. Second stanza was very funny to me -- Always laughed at "And I dont like anybody very much."
I think a lot of the leftists are motivated in part by self hatred. And a chronic lack of humor. That might be the biggest, and least appreciated difference between the two sides of this conflict. I first heard "Merry Minuet" about 30 or so years ago. It was topical then. And remains so today. You almost don't need to change a word. But, of course, I did.
I would venture that many of the Trumpists are the ones full of self-hatred. Good luck, Pat.
today, Jan 6, 2021, "they're rioting in Washington" and COVID is everywhere, especially bad where crowds gather with many in the crowd not using face masks.
I wonder if there is a way to be notified when someone leaves a comment on a parody months or even years later. The attack on the Capitol was the culmination of a long, very strange year. And the basic, underlying problems are only getting worse.
