The Lyrics

If you do not know the OS, a low bit-rate MP3 can be found here
See the girls, those bimbos as they linger
Clamouring at the door
Hov'ring, ecstasy over labels
Affluent, but soon be poor
Man'ger greets them, hands are wring-a-wringing
Money must be bled
Prices falling, 'must-see' liquidation
T V advert said...

Doors unlatchin', "over to the shoe-bin!"
Lay-by is the go
Bodies shoved in tactics quite del-ib-er-ate
("Bought it 'fore that ho...!")
Blondes are pushing, credit debt is rising
Register, it sounds
Shopping sates their shoddy flaccid psyches
Psy-co-analyse NOW !

Shop, shop, shop, cash advancing
Visa's got to bleed
Shop, shop, shop, re-financing
Testament to greed

It's so gruelling, scouring these tables
Hurling left and right
Launched those clothes, they're in orbit, reeling
Did it with delight
Cash or credit, don't forget the rebate
Soon see funds all leeched
Drat! I won't fit into that swimsuit
Gee, son of a beach...

Shop, shop, shop, it's a planned thing
Calculate and scheme
Shop, shop, shop, so demanding
Blue Light Specials scream

Shop, shop, shop, it's a rad thing
Got no time to breathe
Shop, shop, shop, like a mad thing
Till they make you leave

Crowds grow bolder, people are swearing
Tempers on the brink
Women struggle knocking over tables
Choices start to shrink
Can't men understand that it's warfare
Strong defeat the weak
Bevies grand erupt in squalor
Riot's on the brink!

Cops, cops, cops are advancing
Bullhorn chimes aggrieved:
"Drop, drop drop all un-bought things!
Form a queue and leave....leave....leave....!"

Your sound file is coming up as a 404, and I couldn't find this elsewhere, but it was a fun read and provided some great imagery.

Yep, it works now. Odd, but fun song, and you parody of it was spot on. Much better knowing the original. Also, I caught the "Gee, son of a beach" pun this time around. Do you know whjat instrument is being played? It sort of sounds like a sitar to me.

Hi RA, nothing quite so-Beatlesque for the Hollies. I beleive it to be a humble Banjo!
