| Parody Song Title: | "Friday On My Mind" |
| Parody Written by: | Alvin Rhodes |
...as sung by robinson crusoe
lonely mornings feel so bad
i've no lady here to...hug me
lately, friday's looking better
even that old man sounds...good
he may...tell me no
he may...have a go
i got friday on my mind
would not need him in the city
cause i find girls much more pretty
he would do tonight
since we're out of sight...you see
tonight...we'll go to bed
tonight...we'll lose our heads
tonight...some sex i'll get
tonight
lately, i have friday on my mind
been here five whole months or more
no good loving really...bugs me
i've been lurking 'round that wild man
it could turn obscene one day
today...he drives me mad
tomorrow...twice as bad
cause i got friday on my mind
would not need him in the city
cause i find girls much more pretty
he would do tonight
since we're out of sight...you see
tonight...we'll go to bed
tonight...we'll lose our heads
tonight...some sex i'll get
tonight
lately, i have friday on my mind
i've no lady here to...hug me
lately, friday's looking better
even that old man sounds...good
he may...tell me no
he may...have a go
i got friday on my mind
would not need him in the city
cause i find girls much more pretty
he would do tonight
since we're out of sight...you see
tonight...we'll go to bed
tonight...we'll lose our heads
tonight...some sex i'll get
tonight
lately, i have friday on my mind
been here five whole months or more
no good loving really...bugs me
i've been lurking 'round that wild man
it could turn obscene one day
today...he drives me mad

cause i got friday on my mind

cause i find girls much more pretty
he would do tonight
since we're out of sight...you see
tonight...we'll go to bed
tonight...we'll lose our heads
tonight...some sex i'll get
tonight
lately, i have friday on my mind

Wish I knew the OS so I could fully appreciate the way you rhymed the original, as you always do -- but even without knowing the OS, this is fantastic.
I love it--especially the title!
Very clever idea.....and a great parody! The OS has always been a favorite....and I think this is the first time I've seen a parody of it. Love it!
DKTS...but I like the tricky idea....so Island you fives.....reminds me of a real old actual song, entitled: "Where Does Robinson Crusoe go with Friday on a Saturday Night?"...may not be exact wording of title..but something like that.
thanks leo, john, chuck and AFW
Lose your head? I figured it would be getting head... lol... 5's :)
5's ... Why does this parody remind me of The Skipper and his "Little Buddy" ?
Alvin, you star!! I'm assuming that you're American, so to even know this song from Australia's premiere 60s beat combo is amazing. Plus you also did a terrific job on the parody, with a LOL idea. Fab!! 555
thanks mrmacphisto, johnny and kristof
Alvin: No need to vote you off the island. Five coconuts. Johnny: Because you have a three-quarter-track mind, that's why!
