Original Song Title:

"Waiting For the Sun"

Original Performer:

The Doors

Parody Song Title:

"Magic Bagel Buns"

Parody Written by:

Porfle Popnecker

The Lyrics

At first whiff of weenees, we race into the sun
Dad is there, his chef's hat on

Waiting for the buns
Waiting for the buns
Waiting for the buns

Can you smell them, now the franks are done
And it's time to eat them with Grey Poupon

Waiting for the buns
Waiting for the buns
Waiting for the buns

Waiting...for...the buns

Waiting for Mom to - bring the buns
Waiting for Mom to - start the fun
Waiting for Mom to - bring the buns
Waiting for Mom to - tell why there are none

Mom did the shopping...and...forgot the...buns

Can you taste them, weenees in the sun
As they're nestled in, magic bagel buns

Magic bagel buns
Magic bagel buns
Magic bagel buns

Porfle, now some people might not find this song that funny but I am still amazed at how easily you write the simple silly songs. You seem to have a gift for it. I am much too intense to write simplistic things. But good for you- have a surprise for you tomorrow ;-D

Thanks, Rob. Sometimes it pays to be simpleminded! Wondering what that surprise could be...
