Parody Song Title:

"Crime Is Here To Stay"

Parody Written by:

Arch Vile

The Lyrics

An ode to democratically run cities. Alternatively, a song in response to peaceful protests that are not tied to BLM. A little like what happened on July 24th 2021 around Europe and Australia.
(Intro)
Cuckoo

(Verse 1)
Crime is here to stay
The cops have gone away
We let the cities all decay
And you can thank the DA
That your businesses have no display
Crime is here to stay
(Hey)

(Verse 2)
Oh
The people will not stay (hey)
In the news every day (hey)
When guns will take your lives away (Hey)
All we have is dismay (hey)
My vote does not make sense (hey)
Look, the jails, are all empty (Hey)
I steal plenty (Hey)
I steal plenty (Hey)

(Chorus)
Now the crime is here (Crime)
I can’t enjoy beer (Crime)
The buildings burned and disappear (Crime)
Nothing left but fear (Crime)
Go to Walgreens take what’s mine (crime)
I’ve joined a crowd and held a sign (Crime)
And I won’t follow government guideline (Crime)

(Post-Chorus)
Now the crime is here (Crime)
Take your time to join the purge (Crime)
Crime is here to stay (Crime)
Crime is here to stay (Crime)

(Bridge) (Crime x11)

(Instrumental)

(Chorus)
Now the crime is here (Crime)
I can’t enjoy beer (Crime)
The buildings burned and disappear (Crime)
Nothing left but fear (Crime)
Go to Walgreens take what’s mine (crime)
I’ve joined a crowd and held a sign (Crime)
And I won’t follow government guideline (Crime)

(Post-Chorus)
Now the crime is here (Crime)
Take your time to join the purge (Crime)
Crime is here to stay (Crime)
Crime is here to stay (Crime)

(Outro) (Crime x4)

Yeah
A little much when it comes to the interlude.

What a great match of parody and OS. But how would you even know about The Chambers Bros, Arch? They were a one hit wonder 53 years ago and then immediately disappeared from the music scene

My soul has been psychedelicized. A rather chaotic song in the original incarnation, good choice to immortalize the events of last summer.

@CML, When I was looking for some "social justice" songs, this was brought to my attention. A little too appropriate now that I think about it.

Wait till this summer ends Patrick. Might be more of the same.
