The Lyrics

The word "f4g" is not used in a derogatory way here. Numbers are all over these lyrics as a tribute to the gay mathematician Alan Turing who broke the Nazi enigma code during World War 2, helping the Allies crush Nazi Germany. The Far Right suggests that gays can doom us all, but here is an example of a gay helping to preserve the Free World. Is it ironic that the word "faggot" apparently comes from the same root that the word "fascism" comes from, considering that a person who people would refer to as a "faggot" was instrumental in defeating fascism in the 20th century?

Faggot is an old English word for stick, and fag became a term for a cigarette. How this became a term of disparagement to gay men is beyond my pay grade. Fasces is a Latin word for bundle (of sticks) The idea is that a collective (bundle) is stronger than, say, a dozen individual sticks. It's the abstract concept that's important here. And BTW, Fascism only becomes a nightmare when it is coupled with a society that was ultra militaristic beforehand, such as Japan and Germany. Franco was a fascist dictator, but he was really not much different from previous Kings and Queens of Spain

Defending fascism might not be commendable but it is at least more honest than claiming your guy won elections he didn't win. The US Right should stick with that approach... As for the fascist/faggot connection, Wikipedia has this: "The word faggot has been used in English since the late 16th century as an abusive term for women, particularly old women, and reference to homosexuality may derive from this, as female terms are often used with reference to homosexual or effeminate men (cf. nancy, sissy, queen). The application of the term to old women is possibly a shortening of the term "faggot-gatherer", applied in the 19th century to people, especially older widows, who made a meager living by gathering and selling firewood."

For the record, "fag" was the old English word for "a stick of firewood" and "faggot" was the old word for "a bundle of sticks of firewood" as mentioned in passing in an episode of The Simpsons by the ever-hilariously-naive Martin Prince: "Individually, we are weak, like little twigs; but as a bundle, we form a mighty faggot!" (Bart Simpson: "Well said, Martin!") As to how they came to refer to cigarettes (in contemporary Australian, British, and European usage)... well, a cigarette is also sometimes known as a "cancer stick" and you burn it like a stick of firewood, so you need not stretch your imagination much to see how "fag" came to be a slang term for that. For how it came to be a derisive term for homosexuals? That's courtesy of higher education in Britain, wherein freshman schoolboys pledging for membership to fraternities and other all-male school clubs at Oxford, Cambridge, etc. were issued a "fag" as a kind of totem of their membership, and as part of their initiations were put to work "fagging" (performing various menial tasks) for the junior and senior schoolboys running that club, with everyone talking as if the particular upperclassman to whom a given initiate was assigned owned him like an indentured servant, e.g. "He's my fag." Suffice to say, some of the upperclassmen took to hazing their "fags" rather abusively, with some of that abuse taking on distinctly sexual aspects: forcing them to work in the nude, shaving their genitals, demanding manual stimulation, etc. Hence, being some upperclassman's "fag" came to connote having to do sexual favors for him, with perverse upperclassmen who had multiple "fags" working for them coming to be known as "faggots" for having a "bundle" of these "fags" doing these favors for them, see? Then all this vulgar slang spread from these institutions of higher learning to the general public and... well, that's how those terms came to mean what they do now. As for "fascism" and related terms? The "fasces" were specifically bundles of sticks bound around an axe which were given to more prominent commanders in the ancient Roman army as symbols of their elevated status. Benito Mussolini, big fan of ancient Rome that he was, came to refer to his particular ideology as "fascism" because of his emphasis on using Italy's military to try to make the nation as powerful as he perceived ancient Rome to have been. Then this idea caught on with his closest ally Hitler, which is how it came to be associated with Nazi Germany as well. Franco, while he did have some associations with Hitler (due to the latter having helped the former take down his Basque enemies by having his Luftwaffe bomb the crap out of Guernica during the Spanish Civil War) was not actually a fascist himself: while he did rather feel he owed Hitler some gratitude for aiding him in his rise to power as a military dictator during the Spanish Civil War, he was none too fond of Hitler or Mussolini and had no plans to make his own military dictatorship a permanent political fixture. This is why, soon after Franco died, Spain's constitutional monarchy was ultimately restored under his protégé King Juan Carlos I as intended.

Biden-rimming DemoKKKrats are morally inferior to both Commies and Fascists - June 05, 2024 - Report this comment
In the final analysis, the Biden-rimming DemoKKKrat vermin going around persecuting American patriots for refusing to pretend their treasonous illegal occupation regime didn't blatantly steal the 2020 elections with millions of fake ballots are clearly projecting their own genocidal ideology's disturbing resemblance to both Communism and Fascism onto their enemies. Among other things, Hitler and Stalin were both into election rigging and out-and-out election theft (while their countries still HAD any elections, that is), both had rogue judges and prosecutors (e.g. Nikolai Yezhov, Lavrentiy Beria, and Roland Freisler) attacking all opposition to their illegitimate regimes in show trials on blatantly fraudulent BS charges just like Alvin Bragg, Jack Smith, Fanni Willis, Merrick Garland, and Juan Merchan. (Notice that these Biden-rimming hypocrites have never prosecuted Barack Hussein Obama's allegedly "illegally influencing an election" for offering "hush money" to his goose-stepping America-hating racist mentor Reverend Wright back in 2008 to silence him; DemoKKKrats are EXEMPT from being charged under the blatantly bogus legal absurdities they used to railroad Trump most recently, you see.)

Both employed violent criminal thugs in the streets to attack and terrorize their political opposition (e.g. Hitler's SA and SS and Stalin's NKVD) like Antifa and BLM. Both were exceedingly racist—especially against Jews—like the Hamas harlots and other America-and-Israel-hating DemoKKKrat vermin currently goose-stepping around college campuses. Both also eagerly murdered tens and hundreds of millions of people for the "crime" of their existence being inconvenient to their ideology (short-lived Nazi Germany "aborted" some ten million people in their concentration camps alone—not counting war casualties while the longer-lived Soviet, Chinese, and other Commie regimes "aborted" HUNDREDS of millions between them).

The only differences between DemoKKKrats and Commies and Fascists are ones that arguably make the DemoKKKrats WORSE. The Commies and Fascists committed their capital crimes IN SERVICE to their evil countries; DemoKKKrats are TRAITORS committing their capital crimes in service to America's Commie and Fascist ENEMIES. While they haven't illegally seized enough power to abort very many people OUTSIDE the womb—yet—DemoKKKrats have in fact already committed more crimes against humanity and shed more innocent blood than ALL the Commies and Nazis of the 20th century PUT TOGETHER ever did—and we KNOW that wasn't for lack of trying! Face it, folks: morally speaking, DemoKKKrats are EVEN WORSE than all their despotic predecessors in EVERY SINGLE WAY.

A pejorative term is a pejorative term. Remember Howard Cosell's "Little monkey" (easily googled)? Cosell was clearly endearing himself to Mike Adamle. Nobody doubted that. The post is over the line. Find a different rhyme for "drag."

The slur "DemoKKKrat" made sense over a century ago but these days the KKK endorses Klump, not Biden. Remember what year we're living in!
