Parody Song Title:

"Nasty Chemistry, Boron group"

Parody Written by:

Susanna Viljanen

The Lyrics

Entropy -
why is it so difficult to me
I cannot seem to get a faintest grip
of what the heck is entropy

Mercury -
the only metal which is running free
and very harmful organically
so don't go drinking mergury

Why these things come up in my mind, I do not know
Chemistry is weird subject, yes, I know somehow - oh -oh -oh

Enthalpy -
another concept not so clear to me
somehow related to Gibbs energy
so could you explain enthalpy?

Why these things come up in my mind, I do not know
Chemistry is weird subject, yes, I know somehow - oh -oh -oh

PCB -
can be found in an old battery
yes, it's very toxic naturally
so don't go eating PCB

Doesn't Gallium run free on a hot summer day ( 29.78 º C ) ?

If someone like you had been writing science parodies when I was in high school, I might not have come dangerously close to flunking the course. 5's all round!

Good parody Susanna. (I think Johnny D is right, Gallium also has a low melting point)
Susanna Viljanen - October 06, 2004 - Report this comment
Yup, he is right -gallium has very low melting point - just slightly above room temperature. But, as a chemist, I was referring to NTP conditions ;-)
