Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Johnny, I would just like to say that if I ever have the honor of meeting you in
person and shaking your hand, I will look you in the eye and say,
"Johnny D, you rock hard like Viagra." You are truly one of the best
and I hope this parody makes your day.
When I find myself out of ideas
And I suck at parody,
Who's my inspiration?
Johnny D!

And when I scour the comments,
He is dandy, writing constantly!
Freaky words, he'll list 'em,
Johnny D!

Johnny D, Johnny D
Johnny D, Johnny D!
He's one master punster,
Johnny D!

And when those hopeless Star Trek people
Need a shot of levity,
Who's got puns to give 'em?
Johnny D!

And in tall scary heels and leather,
Who's a champion, honestly?
Sado-masochism's
Johnny D!

Johnny D, Johnny D
Johnny D, Johnny D!
Wacko AmiRighter
Johnny D!

(Guitar solo by Rick Duncan--Arwen dances interpretively--whoever else
wants to join in feel free to do so, clapping, singing along, or just tapping
your toes like the old people do on those horrendous folkie nostalgia
concerts on TV these days--Where was I?--oh yeah, the song)

Johnny D, Johnny D
Johnny D, Johnny D!
Deke-ing words in rhythm,
Johnny D!

And when my writing's lousy,
There is still one guy with fives for me!
Fives go right back at 'im,
Johnny D!

I make up stupid songs with music
Focused on anatomy--
Who finds humor in 'em?
Johnny D!

Johnny D, Johnny D
Johnny D, Johnny D!
Blist'rin' turds, he's with 'em,
Johnny D!

Johnny D, Johnny D
Johnny D, Johnny D!
Genius, can't dismiss 'im,
Johnny D!

Johnny D, Johnny D
Johnny D, Johnny D!
Don't you ever diss 'im,
Johnny D!

Johnny D, Johnny D
Johnny D, Johnny D!
If he's Jewish, bris 'im,
Johnny D!

Wonderful, Sr. Gomez! Mr. D is, indeed, a source of plagiaris...inspiration for us all.

EmiLoca, if you insist on copying me, all I ask is that you replace my toner when you're through with me. I have no idea what that means.

My favourite authors when I first came here were Bob, Guy, and of course, THE elegant master of dignified song appropriation Johnny D, who is always creating parodies of insightful and mature content, turning up his nose at the mere suggestion that a flute solo infers fellatio. You truly do rock hard like Viagra, JD, and spurt forth creativity like TurboLax. A great tribute parody, Bob!

Wow, gee whiz, thank you again Bob, and thanks very much to everybody for their kind and friendly words!

Bob, I especially want to thank you for posting this parody on September 8, 2004, since I posted my very first Amiright parody ("The Erection of Edmund Fitzgerald") exactly 1 year ago on September 8, 2003! Thanks again! ;-D

Actually, the Beatles first recorded it in 1968, so 60s is not completely wrong. So it could be considered both a 60s song and a 70s song.
