The Lyrics

Ah, look at allah's lovely people,
Ah, look at allah's lovely people,

Muqtada al-Sadr, sittin' on ice in a mosque with his fedayeen men,
Mujahidin
Hides in the shadow, dare not deface or make cheap their aqbar with your corps.
Make holy war.

Allah's lovely people,
Why do they brawl and bomb?
Allah's lovely people,
What does that mean, "salaam"?

Fevor of Farsi, fighting third herds are these vermin who nomads find queer,
What of Bashir?
Look at this cleric, darn camel jocks how they fight, it ain't fair,
Mosques are their lair.

Allah's lovely people,
Why do they brawl and bomb?
Allah's lovely people,
What does that mean, "salaam"?

Ah, look at allah's lovely people,
Ah, look at allah's lovely people,

Iyad Allawi, why don't he search for that cleric in mosques 'til he's slain,
Why is he lame?
Factor in crazy, who would it hurt take command of a mosque with their "saved"?
Make one his grave.

Allah's lovely people, (Ah, look at allah's lovely people,)
Why do they brawl and bomb?
Allah's lovely people, (Ah, look at allah's lovely people,)
What does that mean, "salaam"?

Well done, Guy - I've often thought of writing "Muqtadr al Sadr" to "Eleanor Rigby", pretty much every time I hear the news because the rhythm is there, but never came up with enough ideas to even start writing.

555, great job, Guy.

Muqtada al-Sadr
Turban-wearing would-be hero, "The Man From Jee-Had"
He must be mad

Hides in a building
Sacred to peace-loving people who just want to pray
Tear-gas let's spray!

555...Great rhyming...It's hard to fit so many muslim terms into one song, but you make it look easy.
