Song Parodies -> "All My Blossoms"

Original Song Title:

"All My Loving"

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"All My Blossoms"

Parody Written by:

Royce Miller

The Lyrics

ode to the Saguaro cactus, which I suppose is kind of like some
people.....
Put your hand out, I'll stick you
Get closer, I'll prick you
Remember the damage I do
And then, what can I say?
I will bloom every day
And I'll bring forth some blossoms for you

I've got arms that could hug you
And needles to plug you
The desert's a wonder so true
Cause you'll pass by one day
When I'm blooming away
And I'll give all my beauty to you

All my blossoms I will give to you
All my blossoms, I'm a wonder too

Liked your people analogy. Would this cactus be a Gemini?

Splendid, Royce! Short and very well formed. 555

Rod, this cactus could very well be a Gemini; I lived in Arizona for awhile years ago, and I thought the cactus were one of the most amazing things, with some of the most beautiful flowers at certain times of the year.

Royce, well done. 5 5 5. I too lived in Arizona years ago, and remember the story of a drunk man out in the desert with a shotgun, just shooting cactii for the hell of it. One of the big ones he shot fell over on him and killed him. Talk about poetic justice!

Dee: You didn't happen to live there at the time the father was busted out of prison in Florence by his sons and the father was found dead in the desert? That would have been somewhere between 78 and 80 I think. It was a wild story and I think maybe a movie or a TV movie was made from it. It's just one of those things a person never forgets.

No, I lived there in 96, and don't know the story. The one I heard was in National Geographic in a piece about cactus thieves, who steal the very valuable Saguaro for resale

Too bad the song isn't longer. You could have been a stickler for more detail.
