The Lyrics

Well, I don't want to end up like Tong, doing millions of "I hate Bush" songs, but when I first heard "Fool on the Hill" I knew that it needed this parody. "The Hill," if you couldn't guess, is Capitol Hill. Also, I should mention that the 'io' of the word 'violence' in the second verse should be pronounced as two separate vowels, to get the pacing right.
Day after day, the US attacks,
The man with the foolish grin keeps pushing war with Iraq,
Though half the people despise him
They can see that he's just a fool
And he never gives good answers...

Got a fool on the Hill,
Thinks the world's his playground,
Got no brain in his head,
Seeing sins all around

Well on his way, his polls in the clouds,
The man of a thousand missiles, calls for violence loud.
Why won't the people notice
The failure of his tax breaks
If they didn't work for Reagan...

Got a fool on the Hill,
Thinks the world's his playground,
And the Hawks have all pled
Him for wars all around.

The world doesn't seem to like him,
They tell him what he should do
And where he ought to stick it...

Cause the fool on the Hill,
Thinks the world's his playground,
Got no brain in his head,
The DOW keeps goin' down!

Ooooh...

Dow goes down, down, down...

He won't heed Kofi's warnings,
Kofi knows that he's a fool,
Rich folks like him...

The fool on the Hill,
Thinks the world's his playground,
Got no brain in his head,
Looks for war all around!

Dow goes down, down, down... (fade out)

PLEASE! Tell me what's so not funny and not correctly paced with this song. Obviously there's something, since four people voted so low, but I have no idea what it is... Someone?

part of the problem might be that george bush isnt on capitol hill. This title probably wouldve worked a lot better for the trent lott scandal back when it was news

reason #2 - the voting sentiment here seems to be very pro-bush lately - especially if you don't have a famous website visited by lots of people who share your views. my song for this weekend, which is anti-war, has one comment - ¨brilliant¨ yet it has 2.5,2.5, 2.8 for 4 votes

A D- for technique, but an A for desire. Not unlike Bush himself, if you'll forgive the analogy. Of course, we don't want to put more emphasis on rhythm than on comedy, or else we'll put the "anal" in "analogy." But then, Bush is so dumb, he probably thinks "analogy" is the study of Al Gore.

Go on, please. That's what the comment board is for! So you think I should get a D- for technique? Fine, now I want to know why I deserve it.

The first comment is true, though. I was thinking of "Capitol Hill" as the entire entity, rather than just the legislative branch. Oh, well.

I love it! Then again I'm a pacifist and despise George W. Bush, so....
