The Lyrics

Mari D - Thanks for the idea! This was a lot of fun to write and I think you (and perhaps other cat owners) will like it. It's beginning to look like I have a special touch with Cat Box parodies. I'm not sure there are any professional situations this qualifies me for (yes, folks, I am inviting puns, smart remarks and abuse here. It's all just part of the service).
We threw out the sand, you know,
It now was truly out of hand, you know,
Had to go
We tried this new stuff called Feline Pine
Kitty sniffed the box, well, oh,
She seemed to like this stuff a lot, so,
To bed we went, OH...
When we left she ate that Feline Pine

We adore our furry ball of fluff
We're real sad she ate that awful stuff
And now our little kitty girl
It seems that all she does is hurl
And barf up this stuff
Wish we had stayed up a bit more time
Now kitty always cries, I hope
She's not used all nine lives, and so,
She's at the vet now
He said "Kitty's shouldn't eat that Feline Pine"

We still love our little kitty girl
It's too bad that now she often hurls
But she ate that awful stuff, and so
Our furry ball of fluff
will throw up things now
All because she ate that Feline Pine
All because she ate that Feline Pine
All because she ate that Feline Pine

You say two little words to a parody writer and you never know what will happen! And it made me laugh a lot, too!

Mari D - Thanks for the idea! When someone tosses an idea like that out if I know ANYTHING at all about the subject it starts me thinking....a proposition fraught with peril. Used to have a really cool cat (my older brother's, actually. Seems he always had to move a lot for various reasons and the cat ended up spending about 75% of her life with me). Anyway, cat box maintenance and sanitation were understandably big issues to her (not that they weren't to me, but she was in a position to notice it sooner). I got some of the iciest, most disdainful glares you could ever imagine a few times when I had gone out and came back the next day or something and the box was more or less brimming. That's definitely where "Litter Green" came from. Great cat, she was fun.

Heh heh... I'm a naturalist, but sometimes its worth it to go with the bonafide chemical-agent stuff! i don't think I'd own a cat if no one had invented the scoopable stuff! 5's

Johnny D & Leah - thanks for your remarks and, of course, your votes. I just loved having the vet weigh in professionally with his highly considered "Kitty's shouldn't eat that Feline Pine". When I read that over later at home I was actually picturing him telling the pet owner that as though they didn't already know that. Of course, when ever I start laughing out loud over my own stuff I think of Dan Hicks & His Hot Licks doing "The Laughing Song". The poor laughing boy in that one got put away in an institution.

You're disturbed. That's a compliment.

Spaff, Thanks, I've been wondering if anybody noticed that. When you can communicate your true self in your work you know you've accomplished something. If you figure out what it is, let me know.. Thanks for your remarks today, I've been off site a few days and missed whatever 2nz said, have to try and find it.
