Parody Song Title:

"Weird Signal"

Parody Written by:

Robert D. Arndt Jr.

The Lyrics

Since 1973 the Soviets were broadcasting a strange monotonous buzzer signal that made no sense. It has continued on for 45 years and moved locations twice. Some theories are that it is: a) a code signal or b) ionospheric test signal, or c) part of the Dead Hand (Perimeter) doomsday weapon. One location has been explored as a giant underground bunker supporting a huge antenna with multiple dish arrays. It remains a mystery.
Weird, weird signal
Part of an arsenal?
Ionospheric mind boggle?
UMB-76 means trouble?
"The Buzzer", your handle...

Weird, weird signal
Tone undeniable
Purpose? Meniacal?
25 Tpm* reliable
24 hrs a day, endless cycle

Coded message stuff
High frequency use
But far less obvious
Real threat or a ruse???

Weird, weird signal
Part of an arsenal?
Ionospheric mind boggle?
UMB-76 means trouble?
"The Buzzer", your handle...

Weird, weird signal
Tone undeniable
Purpose? Meniacal?
25 Tpm* reliable
24 hrs a day, endless cycle
* Tones per minute
