The Lyrics

In 1945, not only Germany but the Allies had fast piston engine aircraft in the works. The Germans had the Fw Ta 152 and Do-335 with speeds in the 470s. The US had the P-51H, P-47N, and XP-58 all in the 440-450 mph range. And Britain had the M.B. 5, Supermarine Spiteful and Seafang, as well as the early Hawker Hunter in the 460-490 mph range! German jets were expected in the 600- supersonic range. Fortunately, the war ended before the Germans added SAMs, revolver cannon, AAMs, and Tv guided missiles!
Fast, fast they flew
Do-335 and Fw Ta 152
477 and 472 (mph)
And some, new jets too
600 to supersonic cruise

Fast, fast they flew
P-51H 455 zoom
P-47N 450 too
XP-58 Chain Lightning fast swoops
However, P-75 was doomed*

Death from above
Numbers ruled
Germans had the best
But nothing they could do**

Fast, fast they flew
M.B.5 smooth (455)
Spiteful Mk.XVI was cruel (490)
Hawker Fury 460 new tool
RAF learned, were no fools

Fast, fast they flew
Hated Me-262
Fw Ta 183 coming soon
What could the Allies do?
Fast planes, high octane fuels
Avoid German duels
Geheim: Flugscheiben not in view***
* Fisher P-75 Eagle was to replace the Mustang. Order cancelled
** Germans had so many new types and armaments that would change air warfare but couldn't fight 11:1 odds in men and material *** German disc craft kept out of sight

Note: in upper comments it should read Hawker Fury, not Hunter which was a postwar jet!
