Parody Song Title:

"M1A3"

Parody Written by:

Robert D. Arndt Jr.

The Lyrics

Finally, a new generation US tank!
The US Army is in trouble
Obama's sequestration glee
For that can't be forgiven
Need... a new MBT

Leopard series in contrast
A1 through Leopard III
Europe's guardian
US needs...

(Chorus)
M1A3, M1A3, M1A3
A new generation
MBT

With a new smoothbore barrel
Lighter armor and 120 (mm)
New tracks and higher speed
M1A3

New suspension, sensors smarter
Firing hypersonic missiles
Also, a mortar carrier
M1A3

(Chorus) [x3]

And though the Reds are rowdy
T-14 to rival West technology
The new Abrams will follow
M1A3

Layered armor and applique
Lasers added possibly
The new 4th generation
M1A3

(Chorus) [x3]

Great parody and I'm sure you echo the voices of many tank crewmen. I used to live close to a former Soldier who had been deployed a few times and did he have stories to tell about life in an M1!
