The Lyrics

I learned a new word today "Misanthropy"....if there is anything too serious to joke about it would probably be that one but I couldn't resist. Inspired by the mean fish I owned that ate all the other ones in the tank.
Misanthropy...
Now there's nobody here left but me
Can't go out to eat or watch TV
It was too much, misanthropy.

Suddenly, there's not half the folks
There used to be
But nobody's making fun of me
It was too much misanthropy

They all had to go, I don't know
It had to be
There's no right or wrong
Just too much misanthropy...

Misanthropy..
Looks like there's not that much left to see
No more bars and no more Sarah-Lee
It was too much misanthropy

Not a bad idea and good to see people applying newly learned vocab creatively. In second-language-teaching circles it's called 'acquisition', i.e. students often learn new words but don't 'acquire' them until they can apply consistently in appropriate contexts. The piece is rather slight and the title has one syllable too many, but no biggie. 444
