The Lyrics

Recently I was playing at the Brighton Festival, and had to park in Brighton for a few hours - unfortunately, the car park I wanted to use had such a humungous queue, I went off to find another.. not realizing that it was going to cost me £25 for just over five hours' parking.

So I wrote this. (Well, I wrote something very much like this.. I have expurgated it somewhat for publication)
When I find myself in need of parking
Where the queues don't seem to be
Where'd you think I've parked in? NCP

Time to leave - it's how much?
Jesus Christ! You must be kidding me
That's five quid an hour, NCP

NCP,
How much? gee!
Eff you see
Key em E
Five flipping quid an hour? NCP

I've stayed in hotels cheaper
(Maybe not including B and B)
It's a firkin rip-off, NCP
Raise their prices steeper,
Extortionate-tmesis-ly
Bunch of thieving fellows, NCP

NCP?
Now I see
That they be
SOB
Bunch of thieving fellows, NCP

And when I try to pay them
Their machine's so bad the card won't read
Takes time - so more cash for NCP
Next time I'll bring superglue
Or dynamite.. then I'll succeed
In getting my revenge on NCP

NCP
Will soon be
In smithereens
Tee hee hee
I'll get my revenge on NCP

Here's £555 for parking and explosives.

Very funny Phil. I can relate. Got some steep parking fees in New York City too. Good luck with those explosives.

Thanks, all.. been in a bit of a ranty mood recently, but most of the output has been original material rather than parody. This one got played (rather badly, 'cause I'd only just written it) on my second date at the Brighton Fringe.
