A US soldier left his base in southern Afghanistan recently and went on a wild killing spree in 2 villages that left 16 Afghan civilians dead (9 children, 4 men , and 3 women). The latest in a series of crises over US-Afghan relations and more US military atrocities committed that are reported (there are far more that are not in CQB). WHY? Over a decade fighting "Desert Vietnam" with no real results. 60-70% of all Afghan and Iraq vets have PTSD... tragic. Rules of Engagement are also spotty. Sometimes US soldiers fight with one arm tied behind their back and other times terrorist activity in civilian areas are targeted with saturated firepower, killing civies and terrorists alike in bloodbaths. US weapons are crap, the troops are on edge 24/7, everyone is considered an unfriendly, and IEDs are everywhere. It's enough to drive anyone crazy!!! No excuse, but not hard to understand. The US needs to pack it up and leave the ME. Just my honest opinion b/c what is the use of fighting a half-ass war w/o end???
