Parody Song Title:

"You Won't Eat Me"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Now the meal's begun
I'm on your plate
This could be such fun
Oh, I can't wait

But you turn away
And grab a fish filet
And I'll be thrown away
If you won't eat me
(You won't eat me)

Now I know that you
Don't care for greens
You prefer a stew
Or pork and beans

Well, I can't compete
With seasoned taco meat
And I'm a doggy treat
If you won't eat me
(You won't eat me)

Meal after meal, you refuse to even taste me
I wouldn't mind, but it seems a shame to waste me

Yes, I know I'm green
And widely jeered
And my slimy sheen
Is kind of weird

But I'm not so bad
I taste good to your Dad
And I'll be cold and sad
If you won't eat me
(You won't eat me)

Meal after meal, I am forced to go the distance
Still you refuse, to acknowledge my existence

All the fries are gone
The ketchup, too
Yet I linger on
I'm turning blue

Yes, I feel so blue
I'm hardly fit to chew
And I can't be, in you
If you won't eat me
(You won't eat me)

An inverse, anthropomorphic answer to Weird Al's "Eat It"! 555 calories.

Thanks for the savory score!

(ABC) I'm "green' with envy over this creative 'veggie" tale!

(ABC) Good job! I still think you have more potential, but this is solid. Good parody, good parody.

Thanks, M & B!

Reminds me of my "Some Kind of Vegetable" parody...and I actually eat all the "bad" stuff first, so that I can end my meal with the better tasting items. Nice work!

Thanks, actually I love vegetables so it's never a problem for me!

(ABC) Amazing parody, especially considering what you had to work with. Would've been awesome to find out what food was singing the whole time, but that's me. 555!

I totally picture one of those Muppet cabbage heads singing this song. Hilarious parody!

Thanks for the comments! I had something like spinach or turnip greens in mind when I wrote it.

This was a twisted parody Porfle, surely the title lead me to think you were heading the zombie route or somewhere in the wide array of cannibalism, but the idea of a depressed food cause it won't be eaten is right up my alley of insanity, and naturally I loved it. . .my favorite by you yet, despite its simplicity, its just a very funny idea and well executed to a classic song.

Good 'from the point of view of' parody Porfle. I did a few of those back in the day, and I've been wanting to do more Beatles songs recently. Also, good to see the lesser done RUBBER SOUL songs getting attention. Made me laugh. Enjoyed all of the triple rhyme couplets especially.
