The Lyrics

Number four in the series from The Beatles " Food Album "
I remember when I was a little boy
My parents used to buy this treat for me
I had it every morning with my cereal
And it was something that is still called Ovaltine

Ovaltine, it's so keen in some cold milk
It tastes just like a malt milkshake
Ovaltine, it's so keen in some cold milk
I drink it when I first awake

Born in Switzerland, then imported here
Made with malt, milk, eggs and cocoa beans
From a little town that is called Berne
It's the drink that makes all the children scream

Ovaltine, it's so keen in some cold milk
It tastes just like a malt milkshake
Ovaltine, it's so keen in some cold milk
I drink it when I first awake

There is no fat or cholesterol in each can
With a glass of milk it provides
20% of your daily vitamins

The Nestle family cares about your health
And Ovaltine is apart of their set
How can you go wrong with a company
Whose NESQUIK spokesman is a big cartoon rabbit

Ovaltine, it's so keen in some cold milk
It tastes just like a malt milkshake
Ovaltine, it's so keen in some cold milk
I drink it when I first awake

There is no fat or cholesterol in each can
With a glass of milk it provides
20% of your daily vitamins

Run right down to your local grocery store
And say you're buying it for your child
Go home and mix it up with some cold milk
Then you'll have an Ovaltine smile

Ovaltine, it's so keen in some cold milk
It tastes just like a malt milkshake
Ovaltine, it's so keen in some cold milk
I drink it when I first awake

You know what I mean, Ovaltine is so keen

I'll drink to this! Nostalgic and flavorful as the famous crystals themselves. ;D

Refreshing!

Inspired idea! When I think of Ovaltine I always remember those cheesy commercials which they ran up until a few years ago. Also the hilarious episode of Seinfeld where they got the risk management speech and the comedy bits about Ovaltine mixed up! 5's

Like the malt version; don't like the chocolate; like the parody.
