The Lyrics

I remember when DJ Blaze first started on AmIRight, you got on my good side immediately by writing a DDR parody. I love me some DDR. But unfortunately I thought that you'd be gone in less than a month, and I'm happy to say that I guessed wrong. This parody is a tribute to my friend DJ Blaze, and it's all meant in good fun. Enjoy!
DJ Blaze
You are getting better everyday
Friend TSB with you all the way
Are you guys sure, that you aren't gay?

TSB,
I can't knock your creativity
Fit 5 syllables when there are 3
But you don't care, you parody

What's with
Parodies, of Lordi, they're not the best
On half
Of your parodies, D-K-T-O-S!

DJ Blaze
Quite the mega-fan of Anime
For all fads made in Japan, you'll pay
And parodies will come our way

You are
A sweaty teen with nose-oil and zits
I guess
Looks don't count, cuz your parodies are hits

DJ Blaze
You've been writing parodies since May
And I really hope you're here to stay
Now go play with, your GBA.

Hail the new masters! You both are good. ;D

Seems like "yesterday" that DJ Blaze was a newcomer since May! I also remembered when we welcomed him to AmIRight for the first time and how he did a super job on writing his first parody about DDR. He has great taste in anime, video games, Japanese culture, and heavy metal music. I also listened to Lordi and DForce on this internet radio called Live365.com, when I used to have my own account there. Like you, I'm also one of DJ's friends and fans of his parodies. You two are BFF's like Dave and Matthias and Andria and I. Well, may DJ Blaze's satires carry on! Blazing with 555's!!

I too am a big fan of DJ Blaze and love to see that he came a long way in just a short amount of time and I'm always a fan of obscurity thus most of his parodies I DKTOS to but love looking them up. He got me to experiance the joy and wonder of Lordi and Dragonforce.

Well done, and WELL DEVERVED! DJ has shown TREMENDOUS growth is a short period of time!

Thanks to everyone. This might be one of the easiest parodies that I have written. I might do more Beatles parodies in the future, they usually keep a basic scheme throughout their songs. Thanks again.. And DJ.. Shouldn't you be in school??
DJ Blaze - November 17, 2009 - Report this comment
I am schooled at home. I was using the internet for some Shakespeare quotes and figured I'd go ahead and comment. Thanks again.
Andria - November 17, 2009 - Report this comment
Great job, Silver Power. I agree that Beatles songs are among the easiest to parody, and some of the songs by former Beatles after the band broke up are pretty easy to parody as well. I'm a great fan of DJ Blaze as well, and props to him for being homeschooled and thus avoiding the conformity, cruel kids, indifferent teachers and poor-quality education offered by public schools and even some private schools.Christie Marie M: Thanks for bringing my name up in reference to our friendship. I always like seeing and hearing kind things said about me.

Nice trib for a nice guy, SP. DJ Blaze would surely be in the running for MIP, if we had such an award. (Most Improved Parodist) Good job, 555.

All this and swine flu too? : D Just takes a little set back to knock my creativity out of the water. Great job....5,5,5 !!

Basically a lot of time at home, Adagio. I guess that does count as a set back - at least at my house it is. =D

Thanks to everyone who commented. And to everyone who has read and v/c my parodies throughout the months, thank you. I never thought I'd do as well as I did.

......... just testing to see if I learned how to double line break.

Great job! Wait? TSB is DJ Blaze?!?!?
Andria @ Jack Wilson - November 29, 2009 - Report this comment
I don't see any resemblance between TSB and DJ Blaze except in the subject matter in some of their parodies. I'm sorry if I am rubbing TSB's fans the wrong way by saying this, but DJ Blaze is a much better writer than TSB, and also does not have a vendetta against anyone here, unlike TSB and his obsession with Alvin Rhodes.
DJ Blaze - November 29, 2009 - Report this comment
Jack Wilson: Silver Power was saying that TSB was my friend in this parody, and briefly mentions him in the next stanza. I am NOT TSB, but I must say I have nothing against him or anyone else here. He has sort of a Japanese-esque quirkiness to his parodies that I just like, and I've done parodies in that vein before. I even parodied one of those Super Sentai theme songs he's so fond of (it was Go-Onger).

Andria: TSB is obsessed with Alvin Rhodes? I think I heard about something like this, but not too familiar with it.
Jack Wilson - November 29, 2009 - Report this comment
Ok, good, yeah DJ Blaze is a MUCH better writer than TSB
Andria @ DJ Blaze - November 29, 2009 - Report this comment
At one time, it was 2006 or '07 IIRC, TSB made threats against Alvin's life on parody comments here and in threads on other forums, and wrote a parody about killing him on Whatfreaks. The thread about killing Alvin is on Inthe00s in the "Song Parodies" section, it's called "Alvin Rhodes stalked online, threatened", and is by "Dee Range". Posting links is verboten, so I won't put the URL in here.
Silver Power - November 29, 2009 - Report this comment
Whoa, a lot of activity. Andria, I think you're allowed to post the link, since it is to a site also owned by ChuckyG. I'm interested now. DJ, you threatened Alvin's life? Err, I meant TSB.
Silver Power - November 29, 2009 - Report this comment
I've just found out that TSB may or may not be autistic.

Here is the link to TSB threatening Alvin's life: http://www.inthe00s.com/index.php?topic=27227.0 Since you're a website editor, I'll take your advice as gospel. I just hope this doesn't open a new can of worms regarding threats on authors.

Website editors aren't really super-beings. I only edit some pages on InThe80s and I used to edit some pages on AmIRight [I'm trying to get more, preferably a board moderator position on InThe00s or an editor position on AmIRight again]. I ended up searching the title, it was very interesting stuff. I then looked up Blessranger in his Neptune circle thing, and some of the things he wrote regarding Alvin were twisted. He wrote a 'play' in which Alvin gets threatened, and later possibly killed [it said he feel, not sure if he died or not].

It's a pretty crazy situation, but it was going on back in '07, so I figure something's been done by now. Not necessarily banning TSB, I see, but I think they gave him a warning.

If I were Alvin Rhodes, I would be worried. I never really read much of his parodies, but I knew his presence was on the site, both as 'Alvin Rhodes' and 'South Park Al'.

So has Alvin actually left AIR? Just taking a break? On vacation? I've been most disappointed not to see him since my own return after a prolonged absence. I've been blissfully unaware of any AR-directed hostitlites in TSB's sumissions because I very quickly quit reading them -- the combination of thematic material entirely unfamiliar to me (which also failed to inspire cultivating a familiarity) and TSB's typically utter eschewal of pace-matching atttempts made his work just too wearying to read and force-fit against a familiar OS.
Andria @ Stan Hall - November 30, 2009 - Report this comment
Actually, Alvin got a new job as a driving instructor during your hiatus period, and has been very busy as a result of both the new job and family-related matters, but he has chimed in on my parodies, AFW's and some other people's in the past few weeks. I agree with you on TSB 100%.
Stan Hall @ Andria - November 30, 2009 - Report this comment
Got it ... thanks for the update. Would hate to think TSB (or Norman Bates!) actually had anything to do with Alvin's disappearance!

Nice tribute to DJ Blaze, who is getting better by the minute! Andria...I am, in fact, a super being! However, I was that way before becoming an amiright editor ;-)

I'm a super being, too: at least to the Goodwill, St. Vincent DePaul, Cancer Society and Salvation Army thrift-store management around my neck of the woods. I liberate them of many of their records, 8-tracks, obsolete vintage stereo equipment and numerous types of books. They get plenty of my money, too.
Silver Power @ Andria - December 04, 2009 - Report this comment
I think that makes you more of a thrifty-shopper than a super being. It's okay though, maybe someday. =]
