Original Song Title:

"Dizzy Miss Lizzie"

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"Busy Miss Rigby"

Parody Written by:

Alvin Rhodes

The Lyrics

...the words of "eleanor rigby" inserted into "dizzy miss lizzie"...
you're awfully busy, miss rigby
collectin' rice on floors
you're in a tizzy, miss rigby
face is in jar, stored
who for, miss rigby ?
what you wanna do that for ?

come on, "pops" mackenzie
its a sermon, you must write
you darn your socks up, all frenzied
through the long dark night
just take a look how hard you're workin'
its such a pitiful sight

your life is over, miss rigby
buried with your name
poor lady !
hate the fact that no one came
too bad, too bad, too bad, lady !
you left with no survivin' man

"pops" mackenzie buried
he wiped the dirt from the grave
face was drawn and harried
sadly, no one was saved
you seem forgotten, miss rigby
no will remember you

all those lonely people
well, they sure been on my mind
where do they come from, these people ?
will some peace they find ?
oh you can look and see they're lonely
it seems the world is unkind

I'm feeling dizzy from all the effort it took to evaluate this one - viewing the texts of OS and "Eleanor Rigby" vs the parody lyrics while playing the OS in another tab - Whew! - But it was worth the effort - great job!!! - 555's

You gave her some energy. She needs to get into the strawberry fields.

Yes, another song concoction by Alvin Rhodes!! I've yet to read your others that you showed to me last time. It's very nice that you inserted lyrics into parodies to find out what they would sound like. I can hear The Beatles singing this version now. Since "Eleanor Rigby" is a short song, I give you credit for inserting those lyrics to "Miss Lizzie", a little longer than "Eleanor Rigby". I also echo all comments. 555's.
